Time for a quick stroll down NFL Blvd. – Week 1:
- Let’s start with Dallas, they looked poor in the pre season and looked poor last night. Even though the Foreskins did everything they could to give them the game, they still won the battle of futility.
- The Rams (mainly Bradford) looked good. Bradford made some good throws and some bad decisions but they lost that game because of the coaches inability to manage the clock at the end of the game. They lost at least 15 seconds because they didn’t use 2 of their remaining timeouts. That loss falls on Spagnola and his staff, not Bradford and the players.
- Chris Johnson is a beast. Until he gets injured or a O-lineman goes down.
- GB looked decent, lets see how they take advantage of their division schedule.
- Denver lost a game that was theirs for the taking. Garrard looked good but it won’t last.
- The biggest game of the weekend was the Texans running a train on the Colts. Manning had a monster of a game with over 400yds and a few TD’s yet, they still lose. Colts are in trouble with bad D and no running game. Houston needs to stay focused to maintain the lead in the division.
- The Steelers won because Polamalu being in the game. Pitt went 4-1 with Troy last year and below .500 without him. He is the MVP of the league for his team. Peyton would be #1 but he doesn’t get injured so we will never know until it happens.
