The Bears fans gave the team bus a proper sending off, flipping the bird to the team as they pulled away.

Jerome Felton on Facebook: "They were giving us the finger as we pulled away. I don't think they understand what we'll do to them later on in the season."

Yes, I am the definition of a glory hunter, for you see I am a fan of an NFL team that hasn't won anything in 16, going on 17 years.

Yeah, that's me.
But when you were young and were probably trying to decide what team to like, SF was winning everything, joker.
Luck probably won't leave early either.
Nah, he really really values his education. That's why he decided on Stanford instead of WVU, as I believe we tried to recruit him and his father is our AD.

So basically, they negated the touchdown because he didn't "complete the process", which was to get up off the ground while still holding the ball in his hand.

What a dumb rule that is.
I think it's a great rule, the player must maintain possession throughout the catching process, all the way up until the whistle is blown.

It was an incomplete pass, he let the ball touch the ground, and then he lot go of it, you can't let the ball touch the ground like that.

In the open field, if a player puts the ball on the ground while running, as if he stumbled, the play is dead at that spot, but alas, that is a running situation, after showing possession.

What do you want him to do? Sign a consent form to the officials that it was a TD?

He caught the ball, landed with two feet, fell over in the endzone, body hit the ground, THEN he let go of it. That's a touchdown.

What about spiking the ball?

It's a stupid rule which probably isn't even enforced all the time.

If the ball is thrown into the endzone with my man going up for a catch, I'm gonna nail the sucker, I'll close line him. Why? Because the dude didn't finish the "process," so who cares. I'm gonna wreck the fucker.

All Calvin did was use the ball to get up, which was a third or fourth "process" in the whole play.

The thing is he didn't get up with the ball in his hand, and that is where the rule comes into play.

And have you ever seens someone spike the ball on a touchdown while still being on the ground?

If he had spiked it, it would have definitely established possession as he would have had to take the ball up then down, showing he had it. Colin Cowherd actually said that this morning, have you been listening to it?

Every announcer/analyst I've heard or read said it was the correct interpretation of the rule, although, I think it's a great rule in the open field, there should be a separate rule in the end zone.

Also, this same EXACT thing happened last year to Green Bay, I didn't see anyone here complaining. Why? Because you don't care about them, in fact, the only forum member who does care about them is Pado, and he didn't make a huge stink about it.

If this had happened to the Colts, Saints, or Patriots, you would be sitting here laughing about it.

He should have clutched the ball in his chest. End of.

Ohh, your random love for great teams gets extremely tiring, especially when you have no ties to them.

That's pass interference, you can't interfere with a player while the ball is in the air. The defender must play the ball, not the man.

You know something, you of all people should not be coming onto this, or any forum, acting pious and holier than thou.

If the fact that I have supported the team longer than YOU'VE BEEN ALIVE means nothing to you, then the problem is yours, not mine.

Exactly, if you get a pass on three, I get a pass on one.
Who cares about what "ties" I have to them?

I've been a fan of those three for nearly 30 fucking years. I didn't know that there was some written rule somewhere that you either have had to A) Go to the school, or B) Are only required to support the hometown teams.
