the sicilian blood in me certainly doesn't want to see him playing for the azzurri...but the juve blood in me does, because it has the potential to make him more valuable, as a saleable asset.

Still, you are probably Right, as though Lippi has given hints in the past that when Amauri is italian, by citizenship, he will be considered, the season average of Amauri has been dire...there are much better strikers available.

Of course, but the only mystery is Cassano , I simply can't understand why he is not in Lippi's plans.

There is Totti...but he has already been ruled out of the running by Lippi, if I rightly recall???

Its a crying fucking shame that cassano has not been given a shot, because the last two seasons he has been in the headlines for the Right reasons, more focused, more happy, more potent.

I don't understand it either, mate...we have a fantasista in his prime, yet he remains exiled. Is it Lippi's aim to avoid any chance of causing unrest in the squad??? If so, that concern works both ways...as the inclusion of Cassano, would actually raise the spirits of some of the squad, not all, but some, as having a player capable of such magic, is like adding a special soldier to your army...

I guess we will have to hope for a spate of injuries to Gilardino, G.Rossi, Quagliarella, Di Natale, Iaquinta, Toni, Boriello....forcing the grey fox to reconsider.

Gilardino, G.Rossi, Quagliarella, Di Natale, Iaquinta, Toni, Boriello, Pazzini... I really doubt he will call him.
so fucking average.. i never thought i would an italian team like this. Lippi is definitely out of his mind if he doesnt call Cassano and Del Piero. They are the only world class players left. Di Natale and Gilardino are also good, just not the same level. everybody else has never been and never will be italy material.
Just compare them with Baggio, Vieri, Inzaghi and Totti.
