You never said Molinaro lacked effort but you HAVE always laughed at whoever defend him for saying he try so hard.

Trying hard or not Amauri isn't a good striker, or at least not good enough for a team of Juventus caliber.
You're not getting it. I'm not defending Amauri by saying he tries hard, I'm saying that it's not a reason to criticize him. Criticize him for being a crappy forward instead.

Got it?

Good, now get lost.

You should've seen by the look in my eyes, Juve
There was somethin' missin'
Juve should've known by my one good season, maybe
But they didn't pay attention,

I played dead but I never bled
Instead got lucky with Juve,
All coiled up and missin,

And though I know all about those goals
Still I don't remember
'Cause I never scored, only senseless fouls,
And we're still together

And I missed, every shot I hit,
When I signed I meant never
I meant that I won't score forever

And I'm gonna keep on missing the goal,
'Cause it's the only thing I wanna do
I don't wanna sleep, I just wanna keep on missin' the goal,

And I missed, every shot I hit,
When I signed I meant never
I meant that I won't score forever

And I'm gonna keep on missing the goal,
'Cause it's the only thing I wanna do
I don't wanna sleep, I just wanna keep on missin' the goal,

Juve, And I'm gonna keep on missing the goal,
'Cause it's the only thing I wanna do
I don't wanna sleep, I just wanna keep on missin' the goal,

Keep on missing the goal.

"When a soon-to-be 36-year-old had made you look like a tree planted in the opposition's penalty area, you have had a bad game, no matter if the veteran was no other than Alessandro Del Piero. The striker delivered a very poor performance and, barring a bright moment in the 32nd minute, he offered very little in attack. Good thing he missed De Ceglie's cross for Krasic's goal."

What about the 2 hearders he had on straight on goal with one going wide the other right at the goalie? Was that not service or am I just confused as to what service really is? It doesn't get much better than that for many strikers and many strikers deal with much worse service and still score goals but lets just keep making excuses for Amauri.

Give him time.
He needs better service.
Needs wingers.
Needs more crosses.
He isn't a fox in the box.
He isn't an out and out striker.
He has a strong physical presence that draws defenders away from our other players.
He is good at chesting.
He is good at heading.
He works hard.
He is always trying.
He has bad players around him.
He has coaches that play him out of position.
He has coaches that are bad tactically.
He is getting double marked.
He has low confidence.
He isn't fit.
He just came back from injury.
He did well at Palermo.
He was a late bloomer.
He had two goals against Shamrock Rovers.
He did well in preseason friendlies.
He scored 3 times in a 5 v 5 match on a rugby field with no goalies.
So many new players to gel with this season.
Nicholas is his biggest fanboy.
1 goal every 15 games to shut Cameron up.
Cameron is a broken record but his droughts for the last 2 seasons aren't.
He showed promise his first season, lets give him more time.
He needs more time.
He needs more time.
He needs more time.

Seriously though, lets give him more time.

Uhm. Yes.

If I never saw a fat person wearing Nike shoes in my entire life, would it not be presumptuous of me to assume that I will never see a fat person wearing Nike shoes?
Right, okay. So if I told you that I never saw a dog perform a dickstand in my entire life; meaning I have never seen a dog balance its entire body on the tip of its penis, would it not be presumptuous of me to assume that I will never see that happen?
Great analogies.

said fat person will wear Nike shoes and score 20 goals before Amauri.
The named dog too.

De Ceglie and Amauri can battle it out for the worst Juve player...never mind, Amauri wins because at least De Ceglie does what he's supposed to sometimes while Amauri just takes up space.

edit: I'm trying not to get upset over our EL performances because some key players of ours are cup tied but there's really no excuse for our $23m striker not to be scoring goals ffs.
Don't forget Sissoko.

Do you remember how you used to respond to people defending Molinaro the same way you are deffending Amauri?
I wanted to make the same comment then I saw what happened between you two later, glad it wasn't me this time.

I figured out a way Amauri can be useful:

- he rescinds his contract with us
- walks to Alicante
- begs Trezeguet to come back to Juve
- convinces Hercules' president to take him and play for free

There, forgive and forget.

I can't stand Amauri being so wasteful and the way he complains when he couldn't receive a pass was just discouraging to his teammates. He is like the terminator of our own chances.

And he has been doing the same thing without improvement (if not worsening) for one and a half seasons.

He should be sold in January if there is an offer.

Forget Dzeko, we have Amauri!

:D

The last point doesn't even need to be done, the poor Hércules fans (including myself) won't know what hit them after Trezeguet has been destroying the scoring charts. A club that Trezeguet likes should not have to put up with him.
