No way this will happen. For one Roma wont want to loose Mancicni and 2 Iaquinta has displayed he not only has quality but he has the Juve win at all cost play with heart mentality.

Iaquinta is a STAR he better be going no where all I am seeing is Secco has no idea does he even watch the game?

I beleive Secco is not this dumb and all these rumors are rubbish!!!

That would make sense, Noce+50%Lanza+Marchionni+cash for Amauri, we could even sign Ujfalusi for free and we could even get Hamsik for Zala+50%Palla+Blasi+cash...

From that team,(and a couple more acquisitions) we could build great things for the future!!

Beautifully said sir. I agree 100%, that is if we still want Amauri after all the b.s. he's said in the press.

Obviously Iaquinta has a shitload of heart and fighting spirit but it can only take the poor lad so far...I wouldn't mind holding onto him as long as we never play him in a position where he's forced to dribble or pass...those two aspects of his game are relatively weak to say the least. On the other hand his speed, positioning and physical presence are great. So as long as we can be assured that Amauri will play as a team player not as the superstar he is in Palermo, we won't miss Iaquinta so much next season.

If we keep them both we're forced to keep our youngsters warming the bench...but then again we were pretty lucky not to sustain many injuries this year compared to the other squads like Inter. So more subs will be starting since we're involved in more competitions.

As for the LM position and Mancini joining our team it really depends on 2 key variables. Nedved's ability to consistently perform next season on both fronts (assuming he doesn't retire) and the strength of our LB signing.

If we purchase an attack minded LB with speed and technique we can afford to let Neddy and Giovinco roam around in a semi-trequartarista position....hell maybe even Palladino (assuming he stays) would be well suited for that position.

Ranieri has to analyze which position will help the team tactically in more ways than one (IMO its the LB role), this way, we can limit our spending to just the big additions that will transform the team into a solid contender both in Italy and Europe.

id love it if we signed Mancini, he would be great at LM for us. Neddy isnt exactly settling the world alight in recent seasons but his experience is still vital. Next season we can have Mancini, Nedved (if he stays), and Giovinco who can play at LM. The only downside to this deal is giving them Iaquinta, a player who i really like, he has heart, determination and loves playing for the Juventus colours!

Apart from athirson, we haven't had a brazilian on our team in ages...and i don't expect Mancini to arrive this summer. Especially if Nedved stays.

Three LM's would be too much, especially if De Ceglie comes back.

I'd be happy if we got Mancini or Schweinsteger, if we don't buy Vargas or better to cover the LB. Unless Gio is gonna be used there...

I doubt he'd go to Inter.Coming to Juve would be more likely IMO.

When Roma started talks with Iquinta they just said "leave Aquilani out of this deal" so I guess we're going to ask for him.

Mancini Agrees Terms With Barca

Roma winger Amantino Mancini is edging closer to a move to Barcelona and Il Romanista says that he has agreed personal terms with the Blaugrana.

Mancini is certain to leave the Giallorossi as his contract runs out in 2009, and he has refused to sign an extension. The wideman has been associated with a host of Europe’s top teams, including Inter, Liverpool, Lyon and Juventus, and Roma will choose to sell him, rather than risk losing him on a Bosman transfer next year.

Barcelona have been stepping up their attempts to sign Mancini over the past few days, and Italian super agent Ernesto Bronzetti, who represents Barca, was in Rome yesterday for transfer talks.

Mancini's agent, Gilmar Veloz, is said to have agreed a four-year contract with Barcelona for his client worth €3.7m a month.

Barcelona have yet to confirm that they are on the verge of signing Mancini, although vice-president Ferran Soriano refused to rule out the club’s interest in the 28-year-old.

"I am not saying that we are not interested in Mancini,” Soriano stated.

“But I can say we have not spoken with the player nor Roma."

Mancini scored eight goals in 31 Serie A appearances last season for the Eternal City outfit.
