I said it from the beginning - you can't afford any deals like this, you either will raise a good player to other team and will end up with empty slot in your roster and with only +10m or he will fail in your team and other team won't buy-out him and you will be forced to offload player for any money or even to loan him out
Instead we should have signed Immobile like you wanted.

That's not all there is to it obviously.

First of all you get 10 million for a player that was never really yours to begin with. That can't ever be a bad thing. Then there's the fact that Morata was instrumental in our CL campaigns of the last two years. When you reach the final, that means a lot for your image. When you show that you can easily compete with Bayern, that means a lot too. We might lose Morata now and a 10 million bonus might not seem enough, but we're where we should be right now: among the top clubs in Europe. And he helped us get there. It won't be hard finding a replacement.

We cant afford to pay 50mln for a player who could not score a faking goal in 4 months.good luck with that record in madrid where legendary ronaldo and zidane were criticised because 1 bad game.

He is a very good player but no tevez or dybala.Im sure we will easily repalace him with a proper player.

We all have to remember how frustrating his play was this season. Yes, he had glimpses of great talent, but you cant say anything more about his season than big disappoitment

Next time the club should either be sure about the player talent and do whatever to sign him (Dybala) or simply move to other targets and save us from looking like a glorified Sassuolo. This risk mitigation technique used with Morata doesn't fit a club of our statue.
Next time lets not sign a player that brought us a CL final :agree:

I also completely see where he's coming from, and do believe he'll thrive in england, wish him nothing but the best
Yeah, expect him to do better in EPL or Spain, kids style needs space and ability to exploit his physique more. Hope he turns into a top striker, would be a shame otherwise.

Fine line between being overrated and overpriced. Every player on this market is overpriced, and a lot of that has to do with the effect of the EPL cash influx. I can't grudge Morata for wanting to go back to Madrid, because that's who he is at the end of the day. Every player in his place would behave in exactly the same way if given the choice. And a lot of people forget the financial considerations involved if they are moving to another league. In his mind, as is the case with most European kids, the EpL is a great destination coz that's where the money is, visibility is, and excitement is. If he gets to be the main man at Arsenal at twice the salary, why won't he do it? It's a no brainer. We can console ourselves by saying he's going to lose a lot by moving from Juve, but fact is, he was struggling to get too many starts under Allegri for whatever reason, and if that's the case, he might as be in his hometown club and face the same situation, or go to an equally visible club and get a ton of cash and enjoy his game. Can't fault him for it. Everyone here would also aspire to make more money, and get a chance to show their skills if given the choice.

He can fuck off, he's no better than Coman or Vidal, blame the buyback all you want but the player clearly wants away,
He wants away, let that soak in for a bit, and? If he sees better opportunities to be the certified main guy elsewhere or he can't say no to his ultimate dream of playing for Real, why would it be surprising?

Said it before already, if we were going to have to pay 20 million or more to retain him he's simply not worth it for us.

He's no 50 million+ player right now, even when factoring in probable future development.

Won't blame him if he leaves, he should be starting and even when he had that great run in the second half of the season, Mandzukic was playing ahead of him. I think that's the reason he's tempted to leave.

Why does one have to blame anyone?
Morata gave us two good years and some big performances if he feels the need to leave so be it.

Allegri always chooses the best possible team and rightfully Mandzukic was preferred when fit, the team just worked better with the Dybala - Mandzu partnership.

Marotta brought us a player that delivered for us on the biggest occasions and the value of that is more than enough to justify the deal.
