The main allure of Morata is that he is big, fast, strong and has skill.

He completely negates his rare combination of speed and strength by falling down consistently. If you have speed and strength then you should be initiating contact every chance you get...like Zaza. Zaza plays above his capabilities because he takes advantage of his physical traits.

Morata plays below his capabilities because he doesn't take advantage of his physical traits. If he fought like Dybala he would be more successful. There are games where he has tried to stay on his feet and he has been way more influential.

He isn't playing poorly but he just isn't creating enough for himself. Needs to be more selfish at times and back himself. When he is low on confidence he goes back to his habits of going down too easily.

Last year he was too selfish, this year its the exact opposite. Needs to find that happy medium.

It's the same deal with Mandzukic. Both Mandzu and Zaza rise above their limitations by taking advantage of their physical traits and working their asses off...

Llorente and Morata both have far more skill than either Mandzu or Zaza, much more naturally gifted, but both don't use that physicality at all when they're not in top form and instead play very weak, non-aggressive football. It's infuriating to watch.

Always seems to be his problem. Even last season he would pass when he should shoot and vice versa.

:agree:

He hasn't been too bad, but I really dislike when he falls over so easily. His dive in the first half was terrible but shows a lack of confidence when a striker would rather take a dive on the slightest touch when in a good position instead of taking a shot.

the contrast playing next to zaza. its like one was borne in the slums, and fought his way to the big club, hungry like a lion. while the other was born a prince and used to getting 5 courses with dessert every meal

He definitely should fall a lot less.

He can't score if he never really try to shoot something

It'll come with experience. Not to worry.
