He's not a great player.
Alex > Bonucci, Barzagli

I tried defending Bonucci, and giving him another season to improve but that doesn't look like it'll happen. We really need a CB, and I think Alex would be a great choice.

He's a bit old now, but nonetheless would be a nice fix to our back line.

Seriously joking apart, alex would be a great acquisition, only his presense, his availabilty and the pressure on Bonucci and Barzagli will have a positive results on our overall performances and we wont have to pray to the dark Gods, when Chiello will be injured/suspended...

Dont know who is Raul Banfi but Caceres has done well IMO and Carini was also good before we swapped him for Cannavaro, Fonseca and Zalayeta also did well and we all know Montero was great.
The only failures are: O`neill Martinez and Olivera (dont know the Raul guy)

So if you get this in percentages: counting Raul (Whoever his name is) its 5 out of 9 which mean 55% success without Raul its 5 out of 8 62.5% which is not that bad

Uruguayans did better than Brazilians (for us) but I wouldnt categorize it as Uruguayans and Brazilians as I rather judge every player apart.
I agree with you. And Banfi: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raúl_Banfi

A little before our time :D

Far from it, but he's not going to suit the way Juve seem to be planning to play.

Shit players don't get heaps of caps for Germany.

Announcer: "Alex is being carried off on a stretcher in tears, his knee cap is facing the south end of his ass"

Nicholas: "Really? Looked like a technical choice."
:D

Honestly mate nothing has been reported about an injury and most Chelsea fans said it was a technical choice because he had a howler.

I'm just messing around. :D

I found it funny that he said, he's terrible at offside traps, very slow and bad passer. Pretty important qualities if you ask me.

He's great in the air, though.

He's well suited to Germany and would do well in England, but would probably be made to look stupid in Italy or Spain.

if he is good in short space and marking, good in the air, then he would be a massive defender when played right.

and thats exactly what his team and nation do when he plays
