I can be as down on Juve as Vinman on a bad day, but I'm not going to be. Yes, we were outplayed against Milan. Our offense was hideous and, well, non-existent ... extending what was already terrible against Lecce and Bologna in recent weeks. But on the other hand, Milan couldn't create many legitimate chances. They did not prove to me that they deserved to win that game. For your example, Pirlo took a sharp angle -- a difficult shot for anyone -- because he felt his chances were better there than powering it at Buffon. It wasn't an easy goal by any means.

This isn't horseshoes ... coming close doesn't count for anything.

Buffon had to hustle here and there, but for the most part, I'd have to say that Buffon had one of the more relaxing matches he's had in a while against Milan. Just compare his performance to Bologna the previous week -- he had to save our bacon over and over again.

And it should say something that Cannavaro got man of the match ... and not a Milan player.

Juve has their work cut out for them in form coming in January, particularly on offense. I wish we could have played better and won all three points. But we did the next best thing and frustrated the hell out of a Milan side that threw their best at us.

That said, i think the winter break has come at a better time for Juve than Milan.

Imagine if we were playing on the same level as Milan? My point here is that they were clearly on a much higher level than us in this match, altough, we shared the points. I hope you do see what I'm trying to say.

And imagine switching the two teams' conditions that night. If Milan were lacklustre and we were on sparkling form, don't you think we could've ended the night with all three points?

It is already obvious that Milan was better that night. But I am saying IMO, that Juve are still a better side in terms of achieving the club's objectives. But to be honest, I still fear facing this Milan side on any day.

Kaizer, I would be more ashamed to be a Milan fan that night as they did play much much better than us but shared the points with an uninspired Juve. I'd be afraid to face Juventus again after failing to beat them in this condition. A Milanese would be ashamed to take the christmas break as it would give Juve the chance to rejuvinate and get back at them.

The way I see it, when we return from the break:

1.) We can either get back on form, and play magnificent once again, and still get the results.

2.) Play the same, but still be able to contain on form teams like Milan & Barca.

3.) The break might break Milan's momentum and they might lose their form, thus making it harder for them to get back to their peak. What's improtant is that I don't see Milan stepping up another level than how they played us this weekend.

4.) We play worse, and we lost everything.

Thats 3-1 positive hypotheses for us. For that, I am looking forward to this break.

despite how " amazing" (not imo though) sheva is he still can never break juves defence in this match or well its been a while since sheva scored on our net if im not mistaken

Well, ever since this "modern rivalry" between Juve & Milan started (starting from the CL Finals) Sheva has never scored against us in open play, i think.

But I doubt that trend will continue as Sheva keeps on improving each game. Hopefully, our defense will always be up for the challenge.

Milan at least came close to score in many occasions while us we did not even test deda at all and you cannot say that coming close doesn't count for anything cause it means you are better and you should win , it is not like defending only

Sure we frustrated the hell out of Milan but i reckon the majority of the people here would hope that we were the ones who took the game to Milan and came away with only a point,not come away knowing we could well have lost by 2 goals.

Yes,coming close may have count for nothing on Saturday,but in the long run coming close so many times ultimately can only mean getting more points.

swag,you claim luck made no difference against Milan,but do you think we would be where we are now if it weren't for luck?A couple points off the pace?Second place finish in our CL group?We've had our fair share-if Pieri hadn't awarded us that free kick last week against Bologna and Milan had took their chances a little better we'd be going into Christmas trailing them.

Of course i do agree that while Milan asked alot of questions of our defence and the team in general,but the back line came up with most of the answers and Buffon wasn't forced into action too often.Hopefully it truly is a spate of bad form.
