If his contract is set to expire next summer than we should do everything possible to push him out from now since we ain't planning to extend him anyway, not only would we get rid of his huge salary but we might just as well register some plusvalenza to go with it, at this point anything would be good enough.

If he accepts the renewal we:
1. Pay a lot less to him next season;
2. Dont lose an asset for free next summer.

The risk of him not being movable at a reasonable salary such as 4m imo isnt likely to materialize and its a risk I would take.

Of course he isnt likely to almost halve his salary this summer, but in that case force him out, lets not lose another player for free.
He is not an asset. An asset implies a resource, something of use or value. As far as I am concerned Fagiot is a liability, Aturd is a sunk cost, and Glassmsey is a failed investment.

Of course only my opinion but how the hell can anyone here not be happy with this guy leaving no matter how it occurs? Get rid of him and don't look back on he might be this or not. Plus with MDS still around don't need another subpar Juve material player that for some reason Max sees quality.

Honestly. You asked. So I'll give you my answer.

I see a player with quality. Someone who is, given our current midfield options, going to be extremely useful. He has shown that he's capable of better performances than anyone else in our current roster. Now if Pogba comes, that's another question. Personally, I would love to see Pogba, Rabiot & Locatelli together covering, and assisting Chiesa, Vlahovic and someone else. I don't know who yet.

In short. I really don't want us to get rid of Rabiot while all of our midfielders are even worse. And I agree with Allegri in what he sees in Rabiot. We just haven't been able to bring out the best of him with consistency. I think that's a question about being able to create a functioning team. Something we didn't have this season.

During a CL game against Liverpool for example. I much prefer to have Rabiot there than McKennie, Zakaria, or even Locatelli.

Duely noted post and wouldn't expect anything less from probably the biggest Rabiot fanboy here ..... when I have more free time I will rank your posts below with regards to entertainment value.

His performance last night was absolutely phenomenal. Really made everyone else look like youth players. It hasn't been easy for him so far but it would be a terrible decision to get rid of him this summer like I've seen so many people wish for.
Even if we lost, I almost want to watch this game again just for how he manhandled Barella throughout this game. It was borderline porn
Interesting...
I don't think it's because there's less ground to cover. This guy covers the pitch in couple of steps. I think it's more about the fact that he doesn't feel comfortable playing in a congested midfield of three with short spaces. He needs the space that a two-man midfield gives him
I don't know how his mom sounds. Only what happens on the pitch interests me. And what I've seen is that it would be a disaster to let him go when the rest of our midfield isn't even average. I've been as critical of Rabiot as everyone else. But I recognize talent when I see it. And I trust Allegri to get the best out of him next season.
As bad as he's been for a large part of the season, he's still our best midfielder. Without a shadow of a doubt.
As bad as he's been, he has outperformed Locatelli. Would you sell Locatelli as well?
I agree that it has been frustrating. So has everybody else been in this team. But if you can't see that he's better than every other midfielder in our team, you might want to reevaluate your "standard of talent".
One of the biggest disappointment this season has been Locatelli. Now that's someone who has offered nothing but sub-par performances. The day I see Locatelli play as great as Rabiot did against Inter, Call me. Because i don't think he's capable of it.
Although he has struggled, i wouldn't say he doesn't care. He has been throwing himself in front of shots this whole season. It has just gone unnoticed because what follows hasn't been great.
Let's embrace that little quality we have in our midfield. This guy is a monster on his day. We just need to help him have more of those. Because on his day, there aren't many better than him in what he does. We need that.
Some people here might think they understand more than Allegri and Deschamps. I promise you. They don't.
Now I don't know if things will work out or not. But the worst thing we can do is ship our best midfielder out because he has been struggling. Especially since our other midfielders aren't really that good.
Again. One thing is for sure. It would be a huge mistake to sell Rabiot.
Are you implying that Locatelli is capable of a performance like Adrien had against Inter? I would love to see that happen, seriously.
So far Locatelli has shown that he deserves those 3.5m.
So far Adrien has shown he's capable of performing worth 7m.

Nothing about it was decent. It was spectacular to watch.
Honestly, he outperforms Locatelli even on his worst of days. But that's a disappointment that belongs on another threat called Locatelli
I disagree. He was a monster against Inter.
Has he been the whole season
? No. I've been as harsh as everyone else on the criticism throughout the season. All your points are valid and true. My original point, was that it would be a mistake to let him go because he's our best midfielder, by a lot. Clearly.
Instead of letting him go, I would prefer to see what Allegri has in store for him next season, when we actually have a team that doesn't include Arthur in his position, and Rabiot playing on the left. He's been lost throughout this season. Completely.
But, if he can play like he did against Inter, our chances against Liverpool next season lies in him repeating that performance. Because there's not a single midfielder in our team, except Rabiot, who's capable of dominating a game like that.
Locatelli is half the player Rabiot is capable of being.
And we won't go anywhere with that. That's a guarantee.
This is what i don't understand about some "experts" here. I swear to God that if some people here got their hands on actual decisions we would dismantle piece by piece. A lot of couch coaches playacting like they know something of value.
Our midfield consists of Arthur, Locatelli, McKennie and Zakaria... And they want to get rid of Rabiot? Idiotic.
These are youtube comments disguised as actual opinions.
SMS will look a lot more like a machine with Rabiot in the team than without him. Just replacing Rabiot with SMS doesn't do much
No way. Rabiot is the first player on paper when Allegri sets up his midfield. Will 100% stay.
Well... contract renewals aren't being based on juventuz forum opinions. De Sciglio got a renewal because Allegri wants him to stay. And as long as Allegri is in charge of Juventus, Rabiot will be playing. He really likes that player. I'm just stating the obvious here.
Just like it is obvious that Allegri wants Rabiot to stay, it was obvious that Allegri didn't want Dybala.
I'm not justifying Rabiot wages by the way. I'm just pointing out that he is the first name on paper when Allegri sets up his midfield. And unless we get three amazing midfielders, Allegri will want him to stay.
Unless we totally revamp our midfield with three new signings, he should stay. What do you want? McKennie, Arthur, and Locatelli? Now that's a recipe for a disaster.
Even on his worst day, Rabiot walks into that midfield. He's quite easily our best midfielder. Our second best one is Danilo, and he's a defender.
Some of you have zero knowledge of what you're even wishing for. I pray every night that some of these opinions i read here never become anything more than that.
Arthur yes. Ramsey yes. Maybe even Mckennie, yes. Get rid of them.
Rabiot - Locatelli - SMS sounds better to me.
I don't see like you the "obvious" talented phenom that is Rabiot, but anything can happen. I guess you're excited too about that other French national star coming here? I just hope management knows enough to not sit mama Rabiot and PP's parents too close to each other.

Of course, there always has to be one contrarian trying to be hip by playing the role of devil's advocate.

Fagiot is an abominable despicable POS who barely deserves 2 million a year, let alone 7 FFS! I can't wait until he is purged from Juventus and football entirely for that matter.

Lethargic, apathetic, overpaid, entitled, and a bonafide pussyfag. These are all qualities that embody and epitomize this gargantuan pile of shit parading as a footballer. Perhaps his only redeeming quality is his ability to stay fit and healthy, probably owing to his lack of effort and inability to actually run after the fucking ball.
