if we dont put up a good show against inter, milan and napoli in the birra moretti, TIM and berlusconi, then my hopes for the new season will be rather low im affraid
C'mon, Dheeraj, more positive...remember 2 years ago we disappointed in both those tournaments & went on to top Serie A! On a more serious note, Inter impressed with victories against Partisan Belgrade recently (Suazo in particular) & Man.Utd. tonight (except for the Adriano o.g.) so for the moment we can't deny they are ahead of us in preparation, friendly games or not.

For anyone with "HotBird" it was confirmed earlier today Canale 5 (Mediaset) will show the "Birra Moretti" torneo triangolo Aug.8 :smoke:

Well at least you can say that not only is our problem in defence, we can't seem to score against weak opponents at the moment..

unfortunatly the signs arnt possitive, and if we dont get a positive result against sunderland then my hopes for this season can go in a trash can because i get the impression that he actually intends to play with 3 def mids against some teams, and 2 unbalanced midfielders in another, hope im wrong but thats the way i see it so far. but im pleased to say boumsong is starting to prove his critics wrong

There is really no need to panic!! So what if Inter is beating Man Utd and we are losing to Newcastle while we are at the same level of pre-season preparation and the 1st Serie A game will be played within three weeks???

that season was different to this! we got a new coach and a buncha new players! new selection tactics IMO. now that Ranieri has given everyone a fair chance, lets see who he picks up for the 'balanced' team! i can say that it can only get better from now onwards!

i say that if we put up a fairly good performance in the trophies... then i say we're good to go.

btw, ranieri praised boum boum's performance!! that is a pleasant surprise! i really hope boum boum plays well. he certainly has the spirit to play well... all that's lackin is the skill and the ability to avoid mistakes! so if this was a defense test by ranieri, then im pretty pleased! 1-0 aint such a bad result!
