    [SPA] La Liga 2015/2016

He did when he won La Liga (which was a shocker), but since then, people got used to it and forgot what an unbelievable job he's doing with Atletico (anyone not saying he's the best coach in the world was/is underrating him). Once the shock factor wore off, people began debating again whether...

Everyone plays better under Simeone. Tiago, Mario Suarez, Filipe Luis, Miranda...the whole Atleti team are clear examples. What he has been doing with Atletico since he took over is amazing. It's not a one time thing either. He's doing this well with this group of players year after year. Best...

Real is a hilarious case of corruption and favoritism. Spanish govt has been helping them for eons, for over half a century. Probably since the club's existence. Di Stefano was signing with Barca before the Spanish govt and Real pretty much took him by force. Looks like the farce is being...

"Real Madrid set to be fined €20-25m for being illegally helped by Spain." About time. Paltry sum though.

Purely in terms of natural talent, the difference between Baggio and Cassano is roughly the same as the difference between Baggio and Del Piero/Totti. Young Cassano showed incredible talent. The problem was he always remained a teenager.

Yeah, he was like Terrell Owens in the sense that he backed his arrogance up with his performance, but I'm not a big fan of players who aren't team players. And it wasn't just lack of professionalism, Romario also had a mean streak in him. Surely Garrincha is ranked 2nd after Pele? Maybe...

It's easier to score when you're ahead because the other team plays a more open game when they're chasing. The stats also suggest that Ronaldo scores more often in games where Real win by multiple goals (aka against weaker sides).

I'm not a huge fan of Romario because of his attitude, but @CrimsonianKing, do share more Romario stories if you have more in your stock. :D And is it true that many (most?) Brazilians rate Romario higher than Ronaldo? - - - Updated - - - @MessiFanboys @CronaldoFanboys

He did at first. We've gotten used to it, but it's still unbelievable just the same. Not sure why every top club needing a new coach isn't trying their best to sign him.

Think Rakitic would've been a better pick than Modric, who was out hurt for a while IIRC.

Ridiculous. And was that even a foul on Cristina? The other player went shoulder to shoulder and stepped in front of Ronaldo.

Tackling shouldn't be the first line of defense, I agree with that. I disagree with the part where he says it shouldn't be learned or taught.

Barca's academy is amazing (credit to Cruyff, and Spain can thank them), but I wouldn't describe the rest of Spanish footy as so dominant. And I'm not a big fan of Spanish footy or the philosophy behind it, but that's a personal preference.

https://twitter.com/UltraSuristic/status/684051728002605060 Zidane has some coaching experience with Real, just not as the head coach of the senior team, and he's familiar with the goings-on from an organizational POV. So, not as bad as Milan's appt of Inzaghi or Seedorf, but still bad...
