Live Mercato Deadline Day - AM Meltdown Edition

Aurhorities checking it's not an immigration scam. In some cases where one partner dies and hasn't included the other in their will and the surviving partner is trying to prove they should have the rights of a spouse and other family members don't want them taking a chunk of the inheritance.

    Hernanes

I think he's a good player in the right circumstances. Or at least he was at Lazio.

I think they tend to rely a lot of the medical history of the player and just do a very targeted medical based on what prior injuries a player has had.

    Hernanes

They've certainly changed their tune. Remember the protests when it looked like Juve would sign Guarin?

Was about to comment on that. Who made those comparisons? And when?

:agree: And Hernanes tended to do something good when I went to see them:

Fire away. Just follow the same template as is used in the other player threads.

Live Mercato Deadline Day - AM Meltdown Edition

Nah, I still haven't got over the crushing disappointment of Hernanes leaving Lazio.

Live Mercato Deadline Day - AM Meltdown Edition

'Meltdown' is one of those annoying buzz words. I prefer to call it an 'unrequested fission surplus'.

Live Mercato Deadline Day - AM Meltdown Edition

Juve needed a trequartista, so he much be portrayed as being something else at all costs.

    Massimiliano Allegri

Llorente taking a while to play regularly was more to do with him basically missing the previous season and Conte having a very specific way of playing that had to be learned. These factors aren't in play for Mandzukic, so he needs to contribute sooner. - - - Updated - - - Missing pre-season...

Wouldn't actually be central midfield - he's play something closer to a right-wing position.

Meh. I doubt Caceres would have offered much more than Lichtsteiner in the last couple of games.

    Claudio Marchisio

There can certainly be no doubt that he's an absolutely key player.

    Tactics and Formations

Yeah, something along those lines could work. If you played Caceres instead of Lichtsteiner, you'd also have an enormously tactically-flexible XI.

Non-Juve Transfer news (official or rumors)

35-40m euros + Navas is what's floating around here: http://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2015/aug/31/transfer-window-latest-anthony-martial-charlie-austin-and-more-live

Wouldn't object to a lop-sided system - I posted something similar a few days back. Cuadrado is the key curiosity for me just now. Not sure how Allegri will use him and what shape that will entail.

De Gea to Real Madrid happening.

    [EU] Europa League 2015/2016

Odd. I'd have thought the obvious Celtic response would have been to don balaclavas and remind everyone of their IRA connections.
