Suggestions? I'm particularly interested in how you'd get a trequartista with more quality than Hernanes but who wouldn't be expensive.

    Hernanes

He didn't do much at Inter. But he was thrown into a chaotic Inter team where almost no-one was doing well.

I can't remember the detail of how Camoranesi played when on the side of a diamond.

    Gianluigi Buffon

No issue with him conceding from the freekick. Do wonder if he could have come out for the cross on the second goal. That was a high, loopy cross and was in the air for a long time.

Anyway, I think that was a pretty good mercato from Juve - somewhere in the 6.5-7/10 range. I recall last year a lot of people commenting on Juve's average age becoming concerningly high. That has now been dealt with to a large extent. Of course, you can't expect to replace all of those...

No. And it wouldn't be terribly informative anyway, due to members not taking the poll seriously.

I know - that's why I said it's a tough one to rate. I'm just struggling to think of anything that I'd consider a missed opportunity.

Do you really want to take the risk of making a big investment to get a player who doesn't want to sign for you?

Don't think Calhanoglu was possible once Leverkusen made it into the CL. And I would have criticised Juve if they spent 36m on Draxler.

Quite a tough mercato to rate. I understand people feeling somewhat underwhelmed right now. But if guys like Dybala, Alex Sandro and Rugani turn out to be as good as people hope they will, five years down the line, it would leave people giving this mercato marks of less than 6 looking quite...

A question (or two) for people to answer: Who should Juve have signed as trequartista? And, would you have passed on signing Alex Sandro (and either got a cheaper leftback or no leftback) in order to make it happen? I can't think of a trequartista has moved this summer that would have...

Soriano's contract not deposited in time. Napoli trying to show it was completed in time and it was just a technical problem with the submission.

Would you feel better if Juve added another quality winger? Inter have terminated Schelotto's contract, so Juve can sign him even though the deadline has passed.

Now some doubt as to whether this got done it time.

Okay, fire away. If anyone wants to post all Juve's ins and outs and the fees involved, that can be added to the opening post.

Live Mercato Deadline Day - AM Meltdown Edition

Was thinking of Diego the other day. Commentator mentioned the last time Juve and Roma met in the second week of the season Juve won 3-1 under Ferrara. Two goals for Diego, one for Melo. And a wonder goal from De Rossi.
