I saw Walter Payton eating a goat-meat taco in Chicago once. Maybe not greatness, but it was at least seeing sweetness.

I saw both players play in their prime, and I believe Baggio is the overall better player. Del Piero has definitely been far more influential for Juve, but in terms of ability and skill Baggio just shades it.

As for the argument about his performances in the CL, well, he never got a chance to prove himself in that competition, because we shipped him before he had an opportunity to do so. He also single handedly kept Brescia in Serie A, put in some mesmerizing performances for Bologna, and played extremely well in 2 world cups, 1990, and 1994. He was even better than DP @ the World Cup in 98 (when given the opportunity).

For someone who said that Del Piero shouldn't take Freekicks and should let someone else take them last year, I'm not sure what type of Football greatness you watch.
I made the mild suggestion that Juve could mix-it-up by allowing someone else
to sometimes try their foot at (hands in the air, horror upon horror) taking freekicks.
Also not every freekick has to be a shot at goal, but a set piece leading to another having an attampt.

I still think that was/is a good idea.

Do you want to know how many DP scored after I made that suggestion.
