I don't think there's anyone blindly loyal.

I wouldn't call Zambrotta smart TBH, a smar person and player is the one who can gain respect/love and be considered as a legend so this way he can be remembered is the most thing player would be looking for considering that he's already rich and doesn't need to secure his future.

The only thing they need is to be loved by the fans and respected. I don't believe Zambrotta at Barcelona is loved like Xavi or respected, I don't believe Vieira or Zlatan are respected or loved at Inter like J. Zanetti.

Players come and go, hero's remain.

So you make the math and tell me who's the smart here.

Personally, I think that Zambro didn't have a say in the transfer ..

and whenever I see him on a pitch, I tell everyone around how much I miss him at Juve .. :) ..

The thing is, if he was a true hero .. he would've told the management that he'll stay with a reduced salary .. if it's all about the money .. but oh well .. we should get over it already, shouldn't we ?

I think you have heroism and intelligence confused here azzurri . They are both 2 diff. things . Del piero is a Juve hero and Legend . If all players were loyal the ROnaldinho , messietc.. would have stayed in their countries playing for their home teams earning a fraction of what they world earn in Europe .

So yes , loyalty is what fans love to see but it isn't what's best for the player . Messi and Ronaldinho wouldn't have become millionaires if they weren't hungry and disloyal toward stheir club .

Zambrotta felt cheated by the club and thought he would be better off at barca , there;'s no reason fo4r calling him a dog after all the beautiful years he gave us .

I hate fans who admire players for one seocond then call them fogs the next .

I don't hate Zambrotta, he was one of my fav players during his Juve days and I always wanted him to wear the captain armband after Alex.

That said, I don't think Juventus did cheat him, and even If we would ask Zambrotta how he felt cheated he wouldn't answer the question, because not even our rivals can prove how we cheated during that year.

Now I don't want to turn this into another caliopoli or farsopoli but thats not a reason for Zambrotta to leave. I understand why other left though from Cannavaro to Emerson.

Zambro wants Milan in Jan

Milan look increasingly likely to make a January swoop for Barcelona defender Gianluca Zambrotta.

The ex-Juventus star is believed to be desperate to return to the peninsula as his wife is homesick and the Rossoneri have been following him for some time.

Diavolo Vice-President Adriano Galliani has ruled out any transfer activity before June, but it is now being suggested that a move may take place sooner rather than later.

According to El Mundo Deportivo, Zambrotta is frustrated at finding less and less space in the Barça side and is keen to talk to Milan as soon as possible.

There are still two years left on the 30-year-old’s contract at the Nou Camp, but it is expected that a fee of just £3m would be enough to convince the Blaugranas to release him.

Zambrotta has made 46 appearances for the Catalan giants since arriving in the
summer of 2006 in the aftermath of the Calciopoli scandal.

Yes, although there is a big chance this transfer to happen in June, not in January. If he's kept on the bench and if he plays as bad as he does lately, Zambro's price will get lower and lower. Milan also said how they will not buy anyone in January and Zambrotta is also cup tied and he can't play for Milan in CL.
Nonetheless, i expect Milan to sign Zambrotta, if not next month then certainly in the summer.
