I hardly think Trez would be dropped in favor of Cisse, the latter never scores international goals (so good thing he did now), must be an injury situation.
From wad I recall, Trez was sent off in the Isarel game and is suspended for 2 games. Think about it, Trez is such a crucial player and the coach wouldn't leave him out. Which also means that he will miss the next game as well.

Yeah that must be it. Well as long as they get a result (hopefully a win) in Ireland, Trez' absence won't hurt. But for a team which used to score through many more different players on a regular basis, it is a concern to realize that they always rely on either Henry or Trez.

I can see that Wiltord will be playing if Cisse is unavailable.
Let's hope that this partnership will create a wonderful result.

I'm happy for Wiltord, he used to be a great player and his previous season with Lyon was very convincing. Meanwhile everyone is waiting for Cisse to come through but he's taking his sweet time.

Let me answer that very simply..

International goals
Cisse 7 in 22 games: 0.32 goals per game
Wiltord 23 in 72 games: 0.32 goals per game
Henry 29 in 72 games: 0.40 goals per game
Trezeguet 31 in 59 games: 0.53 goals per game

Do you still think they are all better than Trez?

Sometimes simplicity makes wonders. Do you think he will reply anymore? :D

If he's injury free this season he might also break Ronaldo's average in Serie A which is just slightly better than his so he will have the best ratio ever in Serie A history.

Please, it didn't work for del Piero and it won't work for Trez either. No one on this forum cares for statistics.
