Our problem was never in scoring goals, it was in creating chances. If it weren't for players like Del piero and Trez who can convert the slightest of chances into a perfectly fine goal, we would have been in big trouble. We had a huge problem last year, there were times where we could barely string a few passes together against inferior opponents and that was very worrying. Zanetti was great last season but he isn't exactly a creative midfielder per say. We do need someone that can get the ball moving better, we thought Tiago and Almiron would provide that but they turned out to be flops. I thought Xabi Alonso was exactly what we needed in the middle, he would provide the linking up between midfield and attack that we lacked last year. Not signing him was a mistake in my opinion.
Having said that, I still have faith in the central midfield we have now. We are by no means weak in that department. Zanetti is a superb player and it annoys me to see how he is always underrated, even by Juve fans. He was excellent last year and he combined brilliantly with Sissoko.
In fact, our creativity problems were most tangible when Zanetti was injured. I think he makes a huge difference. Not only that but our team seems far more creative now than it was last year. Let's not forget Camo who performed very well in the middle and he can easilly be deployed in that department.

It is a midfield bound to suffer against teams that now how to defend and being efficient in the counter attacks,
by the x-mas transfer period we will already be out of Europe and the championship will be out of reach, whats the point of making a decision we are bound to regret??
Last year we already risked too much and our team payed those mistakes on the field.
Just because we were lucky enough to reach that high in the standings table, it doesnt mean that we will be so lucky every year.
Inter and Milan has grown more powerful and we did little to catch up on Roma,
not to mention the CL we will face.
Why would waste the season instead of make the right decision now??
When are we going to learn from our mistakes?
We have no more lame excuses this year, it is all our fault.

Exactly! People are saying we are short of attacking power, how with camo, neddy, giovinco, and del who all can run at defenders and go for goal. Trez and iaq as all out strikers and amauri that can both hold the ball and create in or around the goal. Amauri and iaquinta will help defend along with del when he can. You all know neddy isn't afraid to get stuck in and camo for that matter as well. Let's not forget the height we will have in front of goals for corners from all areas of our squad. And "dare" I say that zebina, molinaro, salhim, even chiellini will be contributing in the attack as well with their forward runs (opps forgot de ceglie, zanetti who will provide the needed passes). Poulsen, sisso, marchisio, even zanetti to provide that initial wall along with our hard nosed gladiators at the back and you all know chiellini and olof will take anyone out as the get close plus the best goalie in the world as our final line of defense. We have a wealth of youngsters dying to step on the field with their youthful endless energy to prove their worth. We don't have money hungry egos like the milans, agree with me or not the team has heart. Who's to say newbie ekdal doesn't turn out to be a diamond in the rough and maybe even be the "creative" link you all seem to want. Just because we don't have players with milion dollars nike sponserships doesn't mean we are screwed. Good for milan landing that fat ass, best of luck to him. Good for moratti and berlosconi and their millions, what happens when they are dead? We are financially independent thank god cuz I hate teams with billionaire beneficiaries with open checkbooks, they buy greatness, we earn it. Give the team a chance, and who knows come january we might get another reinforcement. You all begged and petitioned to get the youngsters back, no we have them and you want to spend millions only to have them waste away on the bench???

Are you saying this only after watching the goal and match tables, or because you have sensed this after watching Juventus playing on the field???
How many Juventus matches have you seen last year?
Do you expect DP and Neddy to last for ever and make all the creativity work all by themselves at this age?
Do you expect them to do that against CL material?
Have you seen our tea playing against a solid defense?
Have you seen our team presenting an attacking plan, just for once????
Do you think that tactical awareness of the situation and the team's preparation on a tactical plan have any kind of impact in a game's result??

Do you guys think there is a shot in hell that the board is saying we are all done in the transfer market, just so liverpool will lower the price. I mean if barry comes i think both liverpool and juve know alonso will not start very many games, and be surplus to requirements, that way his price falls. Problem is arsenal are starting to be linked with him after having flamini leave, and quite possibly gilberto and hleb. Like zann said, i think what will happen is he will probably come in january if everything i've said goes accordingly.
A barry move to Liverpool is looking unlikely at this stage.He might end up at Arsenal instead.I think there's still a chance of Xabi coming to Juventus if Rafa isnt able to get a a decent alternative.It could boil down to the final couple of weeks of the season where Rafa becomes desperate for Barry and ends up accepting Juve's offer for Alonso.Unlikely at this stage,but you never know.

Zanetti should be coming off the bench, not part of the starting 11), I thought that our lack of creativity was most apparent when Camo was out. He was absolutely crucial for us last year...
