calling someone a jew with those connotations is eth same as calling someone "paki" or "chink" which i have already asked people who i like a lot to stop saying.

basically it only takes one person to be offended for it to become a problem, joke or not. i am just trying to keep the peace
I`m actually a jewish person (altough I`m not a great beliver...) and I took offense of it because of the racist comment and not because I`m jewish

So have Liverpool accepted our offer?
Тhey will first try to reach an agreement between player's agent & our staff and if he accept that we are going to negotiate with Liverpool(should be easy since our offer is close to their asking price).

Thing is that he gets 3.5mln now at Liverpool and now he wants 4mln/year but I doubt we are going to offer him more then 3.5

It's probably all up to him now.

I thought the clubs had to have an agreement before you could talk to the player about a contract? Maybe we just needed their permission, I dunno.

Maybe.

They said first talks between Inaki and our staff and then with Liverpool.

I hope everything goes well and we end up with him. :xfinger:

so if they allowed us to talk to Xabi, then they must have agreed a transfer fee...any idea what it is?
That's what I thought but maybe it doesn't work like that in all cases. They might just let us talk to him first and then if he wants to join us we'll discuss a fee with them but talking to a player without his club's permission is 'tapping up' so obviously they don't mind him talking to us. This would be like a dream transfer for me.
