We could surely get them, for the money we are willing, to spend on Alonso!!

I dont see us being a new CB and a new LB though,
since we already have Chiellini, Legro, Andrade and Mellberg (not to mention Criscito could return too)
4 players for 2 positions are enough, Zebina and Grygera are two urgent solutions too, unfortunately, our choice for CB was Mellberg this year, we are not buying a better central defender...
Unless we turn Chiellini back to LB and make some more space for a new one!
I can only see us signing a half decent LB, to rest CR's favorite boy (Molinaro), along with De Ceglie...
someone not very good/expensive, because CR rates Molinaro very much, he actually said, he was one of our best players of the season!!!

The choices have already been made, our fate is sealed, we are bound to suffer again next year from defensive weaknesses.
We might end up buying a decent defender, at the next x-mas transfer period,
when those weaknesses, will painfully expose themselves on CL.
Andrade will go by then, if his form wont return!
Buying both Zapata and Grosso is a very smart/wise choice, but it is unrealistic with this moronic board...

indeed Deco for a small price would be a blast...

Piatti signed for Almeria says Wikipedia.

Grosso is a WC winner, never forget his penalty and his goal against Germany BADASS.

Zapata would be a bit of a price tag but if its possible we should sell all the players we loan out and lose Palladino, Tiago

GK: Buffon/?

RB: Zebina/Grygera

CB: Zapata/Mellberg/Chiellini/Legrotaglie/Andrade

LB: Grosso/De Ceglie

MF: Sissoko/Zanetti/Marchisio/Deco

AM: Giovinco/Camoranesi/Nedved/Salihamidzic

CF: Trezeguet/Del Piero/Amauri/Iaquinta

lose: Belardi, Molinaro, Criscito, Palladino, Tiago, Almiron, Zalayeta, Blasi

Stendardo goes back to Lazio and Lanzafame and Nocerino go to Palermo

am i missing someone??

agree on all points except the last part. We are talking millions of euros here, you dont spend 20-30 million euros on possibilities of break-down especially, as you mentioned, theres a sort of recission period "winter break" our choices make good sense to me.

You are right...we have total stupid and incompetent board...
The main problem this year was our D-fence...but NO, they must buy and an attacker first... (best attack in the league-21+20=40 goals)...
Zapata would be great and costly also, but 13m€ + Almiron or half of Palla...

Like i said...If i was incharge...i would make my priority to buy Zapata and Grosso for the d-fence (De ceglie can learn a huge deal from him)...
Sign Deco for a low price from Barca (good friendship whit them), for the midlefield...
Bring back the "kids", De Ceglie, Marchisio and Seba...Buy Shwarzer to be #2 in the goal...Loan Lanzefame and Cristico for one more year...Sell Mirante to Lazio (to get first option on De Silvestri)

Sell: Andrade, Almiron, Olivera, Molinaro, Nocerino (Ok he is gone any way-Amauri), Grygera, Tiago (maybe get Maxi in the deal or some option for "kun")...

So my Juve for 2008/09 would look like this

Buffon

Zebina - Zapata - Chiellini - Grosso

Camo - Sissoko - Nedved

Deco

Trezeguet - Del Piero

Shwarzer

Sali - Mellberg - Legro - De Ceglie

Marchionni - Zanetti - Marchisio - Gio

Iaquinta - Amauri

But u can still do changes to the formation...

I would love this team except maybe for Deco. He is really good, but kinda old. Diego would be a far better choice imo.

Also Iaquinta doesnt deserve to be 4th choice. He is way better than that. If Amauri does come, I hope Iaquinta gets traded to a team where he can start and show his stuff.

Also I think thats too many defencemen, I think get rid of Andrade and get a fifth forward. With CL we are going to need 5 forwards I think...Paolucci would be perfect. Palladino would be the perfect 4th forward as well.

Great team tho. With Zapata and Grosso I can see this team win the Scudetto and fight hard for Champions League.

It's pretty obvious Diego is out of the question. Not only because Secco would be too inept to secure him, but also because Ranieri probably doesn't want him due to the fact he'd have to break away from his beloved [inane] straight 4-4-2. So Diego is not coming here, which is one of the million reasons why these people in charge are fucking morons (including Ranieri).

But Xabi Alonso would excel here. The pace is a little slower, he'll have Sissoko right next to him, and he will provide us with the passing we have missed for a long time. Probably since we sold Zidane.

If we want to do anything in Europe we need a player such as this, just like a Carrick or Pirlo or Ballack who can pass the ball. No reason why we shouldn't get close to Liverpool's demands as he is certainly going to be worth it. A proven player who has played at the highest levels of Europe.

No debate here whatsoever. Bring him.

Why on earth, in your sig, do you have your dream signing being Theo Walcott? Are you serious? That's really your dream signing?

ques, who is better at defending xabi or lucho? the person who can defend the best is my choice
But someone who can defend is the last thing we need in midfield. We already have Zanetti and Sissoko, along with (hopefully) Marchisio who can defend as well.

Who are you, Fabio Capello?

Instead of Xabi Alonso, we'll end up with Chubby Alonso -- a teen sensation from Chula Vista, CA who works the fajita grill at the local Del Taco.

Oh my fucking God, did he really say that?

Ranieri just doesn't have the mental capacity to manage this club with all the similar retarded statements we've seen like that.

Exactly. We need another top quality defender such as Zapata, but Ranieri thinks Mellberg is top quality. Okay. We'll see.

Left-back is the obvious problem, so I suppose we'll have to hope for De Ceglie doing well and opening Ranieri's blind eyes.

Word Andy. As ive said before, we would have the pacy skillful wingers in Camo and Giovinco/Nedved, a great strong tackler in Sissoko, and the pin point precision pass player in Alonso, not to mention he can help defend as well too as he does not push forward alot. Our service to our forwards would be ownage.

i like defense! really, we need someone next to sissoko that can defend and attack. that way it would solidify the defense and also give creativity.

lol I know everybody here doesnt like him or dont think he's all that, but I just think he's amazing. Arsenal is my favourite team next to Juve and Roma and I've watched alot of of their games, and everytime he plays, he is amazing. He would be awesome for Juve as Nedved's replacement imo. What can I say, he is one of my faves ;)
