I was thinking that we might wanna bring in a LM instead of Nedved and put Nedved in the middle
lets say we buy Mancini

Giovinco Nedved Sissoko Camoranesi
or
Mancini Nedved Sissoko Camoranesi
or
Nedved Sissoko Camoranesi Mancini
etc...

it makes our mid very versalite
I think Nedved in the middle and buy Mancini (or other great left winger) would be even better than buying Alonso

If you think about what we need in our mid you see that we need someone who can give killer passes isn`t too offensive and has some great shots+ needs to know how to defend well
we need it for the center of the midfield NEDVED fits that bill perfectly
and for LM we can easily buy Mancini and we also have Giovinco for next season...

i'm not so sure about nedved's defensive play. also there's a lot more physical work needed to play him in the middle. xabi alonso has that defensive side, but he can make those passes. it's hard to see as he doesn't go forward too often.

£16million ?!

are they crazy ?!..

for £14million Milan are about to sign Ronaldinho..
I'd take deco, he's WC and seems moving away from barca this summer. He'll definetaly cost less, the one thing that i don't like about this deal is he's age "30" :melayyanandmessi: , other than that he's perfect for juve......

I could live with that but then we need AMR.

Maxi would do it I guess.
Why not just sign a very good CM, instead of put a winger there and be back on square one and have to replace the winger. Unnecessary hassle of forcing Camo to a makeshift position for him, even if he was good there, was still not as goog as in wing.

I know, not just addressing him but the suggestion of moving wingers to CM (and then have to replace the wingers etc), when you might aswell buy a proper player for that CM position.

Well, you are right in what you say. The only reason I would move Camo to the middle is for tactical reasons in certain matches. Or in case of an injury crisis to the CMs.

but when gerrard is in the centre with him he's the one to stay back. it depends on who has the DM responsibility

Yeah they are ridicolously hardworking.

Nedved wins alot of balls not just for an AM, but midfielders in general, the grit he has makes him cover alot of ground, even if mainly works with the ball instead of win it, its common for him to win the balls himself. More then a supposed CM like Tiago who is insanely fragile.

The tinkerman would try all those possible combinations soon or later anyway...
I see us bringing in a good winger anyway, either be Maxi R. for Tiago (if we chose the 4-3-3) formation, or Mancini for Iaquinta (if we keep our flat 4-4-2)

I think Neddy or Camo could handle a CM position, they can both defend and create,
Neddy drifts to the center anyway and he would probably need less pace there and having more chances to try his long shoots.
I am also very confident of his defensive skills!
Camo IMO is more useful in the sides because of his unique control skills and perfect crosses, combined with his excellent pace,
makes it very difficult to find someone to replace him in our right wing.
But he is skilled enough to dribble his way to the opposition's box if he has to play us a CM, or even smth like a playmaker in a diamond 4-4-2 formation and a DM at his back...

So many options, CR would be jubilant!!

Alonso is a great passer of the ball, and is always good in europe. I think he would play really in italy where he'll get more space than england, sort of like veron with a higher work rate

Nice post, i agree...We don't need XA...We have Sissoko and Zanetti...We need to invest in defence CD and LB...Buy Zapata and Grosso...Get Deco for a low price and we are done for mercato for this year...Just get Piatti (young prodigy)

Buffon

Zebina - Zapata - Chiellini - Grosso/De Ceglie

Sissoko/Zanetti

Camo - Deco/Seba - Nedved

Treze/Amauri - DP /IQ

Bench: Schwarzer, Sali, Legro, Zanetti, Marchisio, Marchionni, Palladino
