Hamsik: Not even Real Madrid are able to snatch him from Napoli
Ivanovic: Since when can we match Chelsea's money?
Frings: World Class player? :lol2:
Pepe: I never new we were linked with him in the first place, newspaper talk is mostly bullshit and you know that.
Flamini: It was up to the player, he chose Milan's higher salary.

Anyone else?
Hamsik: he just passed to Napoli under our nose last summer, you know that don't you?
Ivanovic: We don't have to compete with Chelsea's money each time we are linked with a player if we can just seal a freaking deal quickly... the way and the time we need to negotiate our target is just an open invitation to all European top teams to outbid us.
Frings: Who said he is a World Class Player?
Pepe: We made an offer, nearly half of what RM paid later but we were on contact with Porto.
Flamini: He is a die heart Juventino, Milan is a UEFA team, OOPS, he joind Milan.

I can give you more name if you have a spare time.

come on we were linked with enough names to fill a war mausoleum
Did we actually make a move or was it just newspaper speculations? I know the names, each day there used to pop up two or three new names but what makes you sure that they were players that we made a move to sign but failed? That was what started the whole thing, right?

Ok, what started the discussion was how we always end up with a second choice player after being linked with a world class player. Go back and read it.

Hamsik went to Napoli and he wasn't that proven, his best season was last season with the blue jersey.
Ivanovic: Chelsea simply made a larger offer, don't try to twist it.
Frings: As I said, the discussion started by us losing on world class player, something that Frings ISN'T!
Pepe: So you are saying that Madrid made double our effort? Is that an enough reason to lose a player?
Flamini: Please show me where did Flamini say he's a die hard Juve fan. He is a fat salary die hard fan, that's what he simply is.

I have spare time, please make your list. But make sure you list players we were LINKED with not speculated to want want to buy.

he went to a lesser club for a reasonable fee and ridiculously low wages; i have always supported the club board included but when we go through a rebuilding phase and we dont bolster our squad with any starters!! thats a bit revolting, i really hope our mercato doesnt end with poulsen.

Real Madrid are now a lesser club than Juventus? :lol2:

Real Madrid paid 30 fucking million Euros for the player, that's equivalent to the whole transfer budget we have.

No, you quoted me on Pepe, go check better. I haven't said a single word about Vargas.
That was the sequence, follow the quotations, the blue thing next to the name in the Quote is useful.

actually that's 10m more than our actual budget. :sigh:
Thank you for clearing things up, we are a club with a limited budget and it is something we have to live with. We look for cheap and average players and until we get cash flow in we will always have similar transfer campaigns.

No one should call me pessimistic when I ask you all to enjoy our Sampdoria-alike reality then.
Yet we ended up in the Champions League spot and Sampdoria didn't.

Edit: And I didn't call you pessimistic, I don't care if you are one or not. I do say that you moan a lot though and I think it's fun. I like it when other people waste energy on moaning.

like osman just did in end transfer threads thead? lol

The statement that we will battle it out in the middle of the table this season is a pessimistic one! that statement completely goes against logic and what i wud have thought was pretty common sense.

Average squad places 3rd
much better squad in the same league places 8th
HMMMMMMMM!!

as much as i wanted alonso over poulsen, i hope that no one else comes in. i want to see marchisio get a run. i dont want him to get a deal like maresca did where he played second fiddle to others and had to leave to show his worth. so unless zanetti or sissoko goes, i think we're fine without xabi.

I think Poulsen is this year's Tiago in meaning that he's the second choice midfielder, the cheaper one and the one we could acquire quickly, which is important to Ranieri because of the CL preliminaries. But I am sure we will make a move for Xabi Alonso in January and get him for cheap (or at least not for an exaggerated price asked by Liverpool now), just like we did with Sissoko. We made a confrimed offer, so it is obvious we want him, we have the money spared during this mercato and with buying Sissoko our board showed they follow players they missed due to unaffordable price in the next transfer periods.
