Common, we can't just keep changing rules on the whim. This is not how we've been playing it and if we want to change it we need to discuss it and implement it next time.
This makes no sense, but if that's way we're going to play it, then fine. If we want the game to be realistic we may want to adjust some of the inconsistencies in the rules before the next game, so that the narrators don't have to make decisions.
Let Janna choose the rules. She's the narrator. If she thinks (was told by someone) that the BG can protect from jail, then the BG can protect. It's her call.
It will be cool though if she adds a rule where Gs can miraculously become alive 48 hours after they die. You know, zombie gangsters. That could be a cool new rule.
I never played a game where the BG cannot protect when jailed, not sure what you guys are on about? Released at deadline, and whacks/investigations, protections and savings happend after deadline/lynching.

If the jailed is released at deadline, doesn't that mean that the jailed can be whacked? He's not in jail anymore so since the whacking happens after deadline, the jailed can be whacked, right?
I think the most logical thing to do is to strip the special roles of their powers when jailed. We can start practicing that from the next game though since Janna has already decided to let the BG protect his target.
