I find that nobody mind Croatia or Morocco winning, me neither. Basically there are no unlikeable players in those two teams although Perisic has a punchable face.

Should the worst happen and England - Argentina will be the final, well then I'm tempted to root for England. Argentina players are the worst scum.

On the other hand though, while the English players aren't that unlikeable bar a few ones are their pundits and especially fans equally unlikeable as the Argies. Tough one.

It's like choosing between how you want to die a horrible death.

I don't mind Croatia winning, but they won't. Morocco no chance as well. The Ronaldo cult is as annoying as the Messi cult so it doesn't matter in the sense of Portugal or Argentina winning.

Lets hope France can do the job.
For me England winning is like Liverpool not winning the PL for the longest time. It’s fun to keep the joke going for as long as possible. If they do eventually win, not the worst thing that can happen. The constant jizzing over Ronaldo and Messi though is puke worthy. The commentary on yesterdays game was un-listenable.

If the English fans and media weren't as unlikeable as they are then I could be tempted to root for them. France winning 2 times in a row is not desirable, but choosing between that and the Argies or Brits winning it becomes more easy to choose.

England winning it will mean we won't hear the end of it for the next many years, just saying. But that would probably be better than the irritating Ronaldo or Messi cult.

Seriously if England wins it we'll never hear the fucking end of it. They're still clinching onto the win from 1966 ffs

There is a back story between Van Gaal and latino players (Riquelme, Di Maria etc) and after a match like this emotions are running wild. But there is no doubt, lots of the Argentina players are cunts.

Croatia
Argentina (The Messi love runs deep here)
France
Portugal
Morocco
England

It's the only thing they can cling on to to try to make them relevant.

Fact is the English have never been close to the Germans or Italians, in newer time the French and Spanish too. It's like they have an inferiority complex towards the Germans they try to hide through mocking and rivalry.

Its strange. When he played for inter I hated his guts and wanted someone to knock him out. I still recall when he put his hands on Cuadrado's throat during Italian cup game in 2017. Hes like that. But when he plays for national side I like him almost as much as I hate him for all the shit he does to opposition.

Nice moment after last nights game when his kid went to console Neymar, his favorite player. Modric and Casemiro's bromance is well known. These 2 were looking for each other throughout the match. I think Casemiro gave Modric the ball after he scored a penalty. 9 seasons they played together.

And long may it remain that way, seriously rooting for France tonight, they need to save the world for once

Everyone hyping up Bellingham and England's midfield but France's midfield going a bit under the radar here

Both Fagiot and Tchouameni have been equally solid as has Griezmann who's playing an underrated role for France

I think Fagiot can do the job and convince Union to launch a €50M bid in January

I'm rooting for England. Gonna be a strange sensation. France and Portugal are Croatia's bestia nera. If Croatia makes it to the final and plays one of those two, it's an almost certain defeat for my team. If my team wasn't still in, France and Portugal would have been my favorite teams in these stages. Now they are my least favorite teams, so... England and Morocco it is for me.

England will probably win a world cup in the near future. They have a lot of great young talent coming through who will get better over the years. They're not quite a talent factory like France for example but they have the talent base to win something important in the near future. They are better placed than most European nations going forward.

But for now though, as someone said, I'd like to see the joke going for as long as possible.

If they win it though, they'll be world champions in cricket and football. I'm not sure how they're doing in Rugby but it would mark a brilliant year for English sports. Don't want to see that happening.

Damn, Argentina never lost a WC semifinal
1930 --- Argentina-Usa 6:1
1986 --- Argentina-Belgium 2:0
1990 --- Argentina-Italy 1:1 (4:3 pen.)
2014 --- Argentina-Netherlands 0:0 (4:2 pen.)
And they also played the final in 1978, but it was a tournament without semifinals. They made it to the final by winning the 2nd group stage.

I just came to realize that this set of argies look like clones, same body type, same haircut, same antics, same skin color, same hair color, same height, same tattoos. Like clones. Truly unnerving

For reference: see how the players below actually look like different people
We do need an update

I love the fighter spirit Croatia has; however Brazil was better and their football was just fantastic sometimes and it's a pitty they didn't go through

Netherland was talking too much before the game. The stadium was full of Argentines and just a small bunch of orange-enough-dealing-with-verstapen fans. Argentina reacted wrong and I don't want excuse them but ref and Netherland have their own share on that weird episode

Brazil vs Argentina would have been awesome and not because I don't have a high respect for Modric, Perisic and cia but Croatia can't get another WC final by just winning one game against Canada for god sake.

They will have to get past Brazil and Argentina to reach the final, really easy route for them lmao.

Can't believe Argentina fans actually think the ref was against them. He was just terrible for both teams, shit ref. Maybe Messi should have spent another 20 mins of the game in the ref's ear, midget thought he was playing for Barcelona still.

Argentina's road on the other hand has been much easier than Croatia's. They lost to Saudi Arabia, beat Mexico and a very very weak Poland, then Australia and one of the weakest Netherlands I've seen, on penalties. Not a single worthy opponent there.
Croatia managed to remain undefeated against Belgium, the quarterfinalists and potential semifinalists Morocco, a Japan that beat Germany and Spain, and then to eliminate Brazil. Sure, we didn't beat any of them, but we didn't lose to them and we actually eliminated three of them (I'm saying three because that match against Belgium was an elimination game).
