No, thats not what Rummenigge said..he said:

It sounds similar, but there is a fine line between "they ll renew the contract" and "we’re certainly prepared to consider extending his contract well before it expires".
He is just saying, what every sane official would be saying to not let any negativity arise.
Lewandowski AND Mandzukic sounds good, but Pep loves being flexible and other options r for example Müller and Götze +young talent Green. So sometimes Pep ll decide to play with false 9, even mostly a natural striker is preferred. So Mandzukic would just be a weapon for special circumstances and I very much doubt, that he would be happy with playing every once in a while..u were also able to witness some prima donna behaviour already so Mandukic leaving is definitely a possibility, no matter what Rummenigge and Co. stating now.

a lot is to do with how Italians don't appreciate foreign ownership in their country, like a sense of pride of keeping things Italian. The other is how unprofitable it is for investors and rich owners to invest in a country with such bureaucracy and high tax rates, of course in recent times that has changed slightly with the likes of thohir changing that but even he is no abramovic
