Cerci is a good player but I think that's where it ends. The benefit he has is that he's left-footed and there just is no such thing as a left-footed Italian winger nowadays. He can play RW and cut in or LW and provide crosses which is useful. He runs which is useful.

But at this point, after seeing Krasic and Isla fail here, I would be weary to take a chance on someone who has not exhibited a definite affinity to play possession based football. Is it possible he could do it? Ya, but why risk it at this point when he will likely be mediocre to decent to good and never much more than that anyways.

If his price is anything over 10M then just stump up the extra 5-8M and buy Nani who is on another stratosphere talent wise.

As for Iturbe, I heard couple of weeks ago a rumour that Hellas asked us to help them redeem Iturbe's card from Porto. His price tag is reportedly set on 15m and they can't afford that on their own.

Anyway, I don't know if this information is based on facts or it is just load of bollocks.

After Di Maria's "incident" tonite, I really think Marotta should let go of those half decent/bargains he's always opting for, and just goes after the real deal for once.
Mind you, this time I think he's got a better chance, bcuz unlike the summer and higuain's case, Real won't need the money straight away, and they could accept it paid in say 3 installments. Although other big spenders will most probably butt in, so I'm not sure if we've got a good chance but it's def worth a try.

I don't see real letting di maria and coentrao both leave in the same transfer window. Ancelotti came out and said madrid won't buy or sell anyone until the summer anyways.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but Ter Stegen isn't renewing his contract and will leave. I know Barca are favs for him but does anyone think Marotta will go for him? Or will we just bring Leali in the first team a year or two from now?

It's almost sure that Barce will buy him. We need to stick with Leali IMO.

There will be a long line of heavy hitters after Di Maria who can pay more and offer him higher wages than we can. Unlike the Tevez situation where he took a pay cut to join us, I highly doubt Di Maria will be doing the same.

Good point. I see Gigi playing until he's 40, no joke. Great goalies of the past did it, so I don't see why he couldn't.
He will play at least 2 more seasons...I don't think age will slow him down that much anymore, so no need to get rid of him and take a risk with some young goalie before that.
