Dortmund willing to sell Lewandowski for 7m in January in order to avoid seeing him go to their rival Bayern for free during the summer. Beppe one more Vidal.
What does this particular rule entail? Can't we just get any 2 random dudes from the Primavera to satisfy the quota if we sold PDC and Gio for example, or do they have to have played a specific number of games for the club?

Of course you can get 2 random dudes to replace them. But those 2 random dudes would take up Gio & DC's spot in our 25-man CL squad. Which means there is no room for the players you bought to replace them.
Essentially, you can't replace De Ceglie with Coentrao in your CL squad. (1 for 1)

yeah, it would take some ridiculous wages from City or Real Madrid for him to not go to Bayern. And since Real have a Benzema off form and the fact that players for some reason dream about Real I could see him going there.

From 2008/09, clubs in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League required a minimum of eight homegrown players in a squad limited to 25. These rules are also in force in several national leagues across Europe.
UEFA defines locally-trained or 'homegrown' players as those who, regardless of their nationality, have been trained by their club or by another club in the same national association for at least three years between the age of 15 and 21. Up to half of the locally-trained players must be from the club itself, with the others being either from the club itself or from other clubs in the same association

No because under a certain age they don't qualify against the 'A' list anyway, so you're essentially just taking two players out of your squad unless you are replacing them with equal 'HG' or trained.
We're already 1 club trained player short.
Uefa squad can contain up to 25 players, we only submitted 24. (Note that there is also a B list, for the youngest players, not sure what the age cut off is exactly).
So if you take out De Ceglie for example, you simply go to a 23 man squad.
Only Lewandowski was that unrealistic in what you suggested, and disagree with getting rid of Giovinco in 5 men attack, when Quag and Vucinic will be 31+ and less likely to want to be 3rd or 4th choices.
But Coentrao and Hernanes arent so unrealistic, and kind of players we need.
