Wht at about teh subs, reserves, loanees and co-ownees, and youth players?
Man thats so much work, name a list of names and i'll give it an attempt

Yes that could work or once again you could play a 4-3-1-2 or some sort but I think the 4-2-3-1 is the formation we need if we want to complete with the top teams
4-2-3-1 requires a specific type of player for most positions, but is the best formation when played right.

I agree, they'll all get plenty of playing time. I prefer Asamoah because he provides more muscle, he's more of a physical presence.
If asa played like he did today then I would say play him but like Marchisio you dont know who will show up. I really liked Marchisio in the first season under conte with those amazing runs and stuff. Idk why that is gone

I think Juvejay is spot on when he says that during the first half of 2011-12, Marchisio was the one instructed to go forward while Vidal stayed back, while after that, Conte reversed their roles and Marchisio has been staying back while Vidal is making runs.

I do believe that Asamoah is superior to Marchisio in that more defensive role due to his physical attributes and I wouldn't remove Vidal's attacking duties, he's just too good at that.

Yea now which I dont understand why Conte changed that
Because Vidal is a better goalscorer, he often scores his one on one chances while Marchisio's finish is not as good. He's better offensively overall.

Asamoah is brute force, doesnt have the positional and tactical sense marchisio has. I suppose it depends on form and opponent.

Vidal...dat shot today, imagine if that went in...

I think you could make a strong argument that Asamoah's physicality would be very useful just now when there is the need to protect Pirlo.

However, when speaking about someone to play with Pogba and Vidal, as you were, I'd pick Marchisio every time.

Sure it is.

That's not to say Asamoah isn't good at both - I just wouldn't put him on Marchisio's level.

I have to agree with that also Asamoah isnt offensive minded. Look at todays game for example even though he did very well. If you rewatch it. Asa often lost his man and didnt continue to track back and instead would leave his man to chiellini. Just an example

Vidal-Pogba-Asamoah, imagine the muscularity, we'd kill every midfield with such force. Granted, it could lack creativity.

I don't think Cuadrado is a likely option as well.

Menez would be an interesting option considering he would come for free.

Biabiany is possible too. His pace is outrageous, which could be of value to us. Take Gervinho for example, the guy relies on his pace and when he's backed up by a good team, good things happen. :D
