In case we're not gonna stick with 3-5-2 there's no reason for us to keep him at all.
third best CB, and Barzagli is getting older.

I'd also like to remind that at the same age, Barzagli was pulling these concentration fuckups at Palermo, and aging removed it out of his play, making him the beast he is today.

:agree:

But to sell him we'd need to get a good offer. Otherwise it's pointless to sell for cheap and then look for replacement. He could stay on the bench along with Ogbonna. Not bad replacements for Chiellini and Barzagli.

I think there's no hope for Bonucci to ever become reliable CB. After 4 years here he still makes amateurish mistakes. I hope he makes that leap, but unlikely IMO. That said I'd keep him as a backup, but if a good offer comes along...

I think you would have sayd exactly the same of Barzagli in his last year at palermo, or at Montero, who had an equally big chance to losing it and get a random red card

Because he has no competition whatsoever. I wouldn't say Ogbonna is much behind him at all, especially if we're talking about 4 man defense.

So? Just because it happens once in a blue moon doesn't mean we should keep him for 4 more years when he might start playing better. The guy doesn't have much of a brain, there's no way he'd improve. He has been here for 4 years. He did improve but he still has brain farts and by far the most mistakes in our whole team.

But of course we're not gonna sell him. There's a simple reason and it's that there are no teams who'd buy him, not for that big cash we bought him, let alone more.

The cold hard truth is that defenders are shit these days, and a bonucci who isnt brainfarting during the game, is one of the best covering defenders out there.

If you hate that true statement, feel free to join my agony of the absolute lack of good defenders this generation

If Marotta was willing to sell Diego for 10M less than what he was bought for I'm sure Bonucci could go for 5M less. I think Marotta and Conte actually have confidence in Bonucci. That's the real and more scary problem.

These guys, despite some occasional random mistakes and that more refers to Barzagli, would still put in good defensive shift most of the times, everything one defender is supposed to do, tackling foremost and simple dealings with dangerous situations that are likely to occur during the games. Bonucci for a CB is abysmal when it comes to tackling and he tends to complicate and gets himself into unnecessary trouble.

Barzagli is better than him in every aspect of the game. Once he took his role and was the one passing around, missing Bonucci did not feel at all. The guy is extremely overrated. Also, it's pretty rare to see Bonucci without his brainfarts.

It's not like we have to buy a Nesta. I know there aren't many great defenders around, but there surely are tons better compared to Bonucci.

We always sucked when it came to selling, that's the truth. But clubs were interested in Diego, there's no way any club would want Bonucci, no way. Imagine him in a 4 man defense, what a disaster would that be, when he doesn't have two guys covering his ass before ball reaches him.

Surely there are teams that would want Bonucci. He'd definitely be an upgrade for Napoli, Milan, Inter, etc... But at Juventus I believe Caceres & Ogbonna'd be more up to the task if given the confidence game after game after game.

Maybe, if we value in below 10mln, which we won't do. Nobody is crazy enough to pay 15mln for him.

Chelsea wants Vidal and they say 20mln would be enough to land him :lol2:
It's The Mirror running this fabrication guys :disagree:

Enjoy this exert from the article in question:

Vidal, 26, is believed to fancy a move away from the Serie A leaders this summer. And with Juve expressing an interest in Chelsea’s Brazilian midfielder Ramires, a swap deal could even be struck.

There are no words...............
