why do you think theres a bigger chance hed go to madrid? i actually think it's the opposite, the whole marotta meeting in madrid is just prepping for psg to go all guns blazing in the summer to get paul. I also hear psg is trying to get benatia, which opens up the possibility of marquinhos imo

I just think our wet dream is Di Maria while we'd also push for a LB which we cry for decades. I'm not saying PSG isn't interested, but I don't think we'd get many players we want from them. Marquinhos would be a dream signing but I highly doubt we're going to sign any CB for the next season. We'll surely stick with Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci and Ogbonna.

hes riding the bench, with news of another CB coming to town, why would he stay, at the very least he'll be loaned out, im thinking if they go for benatia they will loan him back to roma
I don't think Roma would want to sell their best defender.

but they bought him just last summer as one of the most talented CBs. why would they want to sell him the very next summer? if hes not playing i see them loaning him out.

if you think he will be included in a hipoteticaly pogba sale (witch isnt happening) would we really ask for a CB then when we could get verratti, lucas or cavani?

true  (but not at the price of losing pogba :D)

I agree, he'd instantly become one of our players and we'd finally have a proper winger since Nedved/Camo era.

I'd really love if Pogba could stay here, though. Same goes (and even more importantly) for Vidal. On the other hand, if that happens, I'm seriously worried we'll make our priorities players like Cerci, Nani/Menez, and possibly Ranocchia.

We crashed out of the CL so i don't think we'll have a lot to spend this summer.....

Menez will be free so I won't say no to him. He is ten times the player Peluso is..
A big no to Ranocchia... i'd rather have Sorensen or someone like that as a backup CB...
Di Maria will cost to much for us. We can only buy him if we sell a player like Pogba or Vidal.... so no thank you..

Menez  hell be another great addition for free (dont know why yore comparing him with Peluso). the only thing that bothers me is that Conte (according to some newspapers) doesent want him so this may be one of the few times Marrotta missed a free player,

I would take Ranocchia. Barzagli is 33 and we soon will need a replacement, and I see him to be very good here, Conte trained him at Bari and we wanted him last summer too so i think this is very possible to happen.

for di Maria i totally agree. Hes not worth selling Pogba, but if we by some miracle have 30-35M to spend on one player hes my first pick

Even if he needs a replacement going after Ranocchia is nothing but a bad choice. We've seen him in the past and he's far from great player (don't forget how Barzagli is important for us at this point), so that replacement doesn't make much, if any, sense. He's not even playing for Inter. However, seeing us being linked with him makes me think we're gonna stick with 3 man defense and hopefully I'm wrong.

I'm comparing Peluso to Menez because i think Menez is a squad depth player... Asamoah is the starter for the LM IMO and, because of the fact Menez played every match he started (except one) on the LW, i see Menez as a backup for that side of the pitch (and maybe an option to switch formations because he is a LW and not a LM)

i didnt think of Ranocchia as an replacement right now, but as a current backup and future replacement. In 3-4 years Barzagli will probably retire and Conte, as it seems, really rates Ranocchia. Hes not my favorite player to have, and i'd rather have other CBs before him (even if we dont need any) but i think he is Contes wish for more than a year and thats why we will probably get him.

OK i agree. Menez could be solid as Asa backup, i dont know about his defending but his attacking abilities are excellent for a wingback. good option from the bench to switch formations, but what bothers me is his salary. i think he correnty has more than 4M (im not sure) and i wouldnt give him more than 2M + bonuses so i dont know if he will accept that.

Imo, regardless of our early exit from the CL, if other teams invest considerably in the summer (trying to close the gap, between themselves and us), We'll have to spend too. Be it from Pogba's sale money or other sources. Free transfers won't do it this time. Besides the only way to imporve this team is to add top players not 2nd rate castaways.
If we have no choice but to sell Pogbz, I think our best option will be Real, having Di maria and Isco/Coentrao included in the deal.

We never spend too much and most of our key players were brought here for peanuts. Unless we sell I don't think we're going to spend big this summer. We'll have to satisfy with players like Cerci and Nani as our top picks IMO. In case we sell one of our stars, then it's totally different, but otherwise I don't expect big moves. Inter, Milan, Roma and Napoli might make big moves, at least regarding youth talents, but they will have to -- since they will have an extra competition (Roma) or they'll try to find their old path of 'glory' (Milan/Inter), or just to keep progressing like Napoli. But I don't expect much from us because we have established ourselves on the top.

We are one of the biggest spenders in Europe the last 5 seasons, we focused on quantity the first 2 years and we tried to take profit of some market opportunities due to hardship of getting established players to play for us and in Serie, but now i think we'll see more of " Big signing " and by big i guess could see a 25 mil signing or even 30 mil in the next couple of years.

I think we have spent a lot in only one season. In other cases it was just that we sold many players: http://forum.juventuz.org/threads/38443-2013-14-Juventus-mercato-and-roster

It has been over 3 years now that people keep saying 'we went after quantity, this summer we'll go after quality' yet every single summer we see something different. This summer if we're seriously changing into 4-3-3 I highly doubt we'll focus on quality, nor I expect big spendings, especially because we managed to screw up in the CL.

You don't have to buy WC players to become a WC team...
Which club bar Dortmund has managed that? If you can even call them a world class club to begin with.

What quantity players did we buy this summer?

Ogbonna? One of the hottest defensive talents in Italy
Llorente? Look at the season he is having here, need I say more?
Tevez? ...
Asamoah? ...
