He played 4312 and 4321 in those formations the cms didnt had to leave pirlo alone to cover cuz they counted with 1 & 2 AM respectivly and you are talking about a 25-30 yr old succesful pirlo, he's got older fyi
in zach world ypu lose 5-0 every game if you ain't using 3-5-2
also, who the hell wants to give pogba and vidal freedom offensively when you have Sanchez + another winger on your team? they should worry about bossing midfield
Yeah, I don't understand it either. What people are basically saying, is they would rather box to box midfielders had all the freedom in the world to attack, rather than having genuine attackers do the job instead. The end result is instead of the likes of Sanchez having a go in the final 3rd, we have a b2b midfielder and a spare CB trying to do the job instead.

Pirlo is our biggest strength and biggest weakness at the same time...on a good day he makes us look very good but when he is off his game we look terrible. I also agree that Pogba and Vidal should not being given the rights to be ultra offensive...both can score goals but are equally as good at being true all rounder midfielders. I like the idea of 4-3-3 and being creative in the last third instead of relying on a 36 year old midfielder to be the creative spark in the team. If anything having that creativeness on the wings and further up the pitch could help Vidal and Pogba perform better cuz right now they are needing to be offensive but also defensive to cover up for what Pirlo lacks in midfield.
Its not just about placing players on the field, each one has a specific role in each formation, in 433 the dm has to cover all the spaces left by the fbs and cms, in our 352 the dm is like a quarterback that has to deliver exact long passes to the strikers and wbs
Villa would really do something to our attack IMO
as for our defence say what you want but I really think we should find someone strong so he could take Barzagli`s spot (maybe next year maybe in 2 years Barzagli will stop performing! He is very old)
T.Silva would be my preferable option but is he affordable in terms of wages?
Hummels would be my 2nd choice but I`m not sure Dortmund will let him go easily
If you look at the Real game you could see a great defender could have got us the victory in Turin and probably would make his presence felt in Madrid too. He could be the difference between winning and losing against top teams like Real
Another option we might look into is Ozil`s situation at Arsenal
I dont know how he is rated at Arsenal but I really rate this player! I think he is brilliant! very creative can hold the ball and spread the play including some dribbling into the opposition area! I think he should be looked into if Arsenal decides to sell (for an affordable price) - probably irrelevant though...
Out - 3 out of Vucinic, Oswald, Quag and Giovinco. Peluso, Padoin, PDC (permanent), Motta (Permanent).
In - Sanchez, Immobile, Marrone and a LB (I still think Criscito is more than suitable, forza Italjuve!), also, I wouldn't say no to Candreva if he arrived.
I read about the possibility of Villa he would be a good signing given he can play in either Llorente or tevez place. Also he is a winner and should come cheap given his age. Imagine a rotation of villa, tevez and Llo. I would love if we got villa for cheap and gave him a three year deal at about the same we give llorente. He is 32 right now so still can give a lot.
Fifa's decision made a difference for Juve and they are now in pole position to sign Sanchez for a sum close to 20m Euros. Sanchez and Juventus reached an agreement a long while; last year apparently he was very close to moving here...
