I think he meant that Eto'o is an established player and we are not looking for those, he meant that we are after an unknown to pay a silly amount for and then waste years trying to get rid of him.

Jovetic has been on fire in City's pre-season so far, if he keeps this up I can see him finishing as top scorer in the EPL.

We had our chance to sign him a few years ago and we didn't take it..lets hope Marotta can somehow go after him

Pre-season means very little, it's all about fitness first and results later.

The reigning CL champions have had their asses handed to them, failing to win a single game and losing against United, Inter and Roma. Jovetic could carry the form over to the league, but it could also mean nothing.

Plus he'll probably still be competing with Aguero for that similar role.
