and a waste of money, have we actually made a profitable return on any of them? because the money sassuolo paid to buy zaza from us will just be recycled to buy berardi next summer plus more.
I'd say we've made a pretty tidy profit on Immobile. And got half of Berardi, a great talent, for peanuts.

You make it seem like buying youth and improving the first team should be mutually exclusive.
no but there is little point in the management moaning how little they have to spend to improve the team when they seem more interested in loading the team up with squad players and spending the rest on these low return 'investments' take pasquato for example why on earth did they pay to bring him back? can you honestly say we'll get our money back on him? will he ever have an impact on the first team? no

remind me again how much it will cost to buy berardi's other half next summer?
Remind me again how much we would have to pay for him had we not already bought his half last summer? In fact I doubt we would even get him in that case.

He was mainly bought to reduce the fee we had to pay on Islas second half.

i find it ridiculous that in order to bring him back we will have paid about 20 mill in total (bare in mind we paid 5 to begin with)

is he really a 20 mill player? it is these sort of deals that irritate me, even more so when the club can't even sign player that will have an immediate impact on the first team which judging by this current mercato I can't honestly say any of the signings will to the same degree as when we brought in Tevez.

I don't recall Juve having an obligation to buy Isla's other half (correct me if im wrong) but they did the same with Pepe and motta just for the sake of keeping udinese sweet.

Yes, Zaza. We haven't sold any others so that would be difficult. And by investment I'm not just talking about financial return.

Marotta hasn't dropped a lot of money on anyone this summer bar Morata.

All the others are loans with options.

Sturaro, just like others before him, are investments. For financial and football related purposes. Paratici and Marotta think he has promise.

Juventus has a lot of kids that we can watch this upcoming season in Serie A. Leali (Cesena), Magnusson (Cesena), Rugani (Empoli), Berardi (Sassuolo), Zaza* (Sassuolo), Gabbiadini (Sampdoria), Spinazzola (Atalanta)

Hopefully a couple of those shine like Berardi did last season.

So you think that we could still get someone like Lavezzi?

I just don't see how he would fit if we did change formations. Can he play as the 1 behind Tevez and Llorente? I don't think he is that creative.
didnt Marotta yesterday said that Eto'o isnt the profile of player we are looking at? i suppose he meant we dont need another CF. that means one SS, AM or winger is going to be signed. Lavezzi, Jovetic, Kagawa, Pastore, Nani...
