they can play as attacking mids with the ball, but without touching the line. All 3 roaming around the offensive field. Nowadays that's what happens with Marchisio/Pogba/Vidal. If Asamoah and Litch advance to touch the lines, this could be done...

I just found the names really beautiful, a really classy team.

Uhm, Llorente is good, but nothing like Higuain tbh

vucinic wide and higuain central, is better then higuain on the side and llorente central
:agree:
Higuain, Llorente or Vidal on the wing is just retarded.

I actually have a feeling that Conte could experiment with Marchisio as LWB in next season. Dunno if that's going to happen though, doubt it would be successful.

I like it but replace Diamanti with Pepe

4-2-3-1

_______________Buffon

Litch______Barzagli________Chiellini_______Asamoah

____________Pogba__________Pirlo_________

___Vidal__________Jovetic___________Marchisio

________________Higuain_________________
I was also thinking this. with Marchisio and Vidal playing a very advanced role and acting as attacking midfielders rather than wingers. I would rather just see a 4-5-1 or a 4-4-1-1 if we cant get over the 5 man midfield

I dunno how people are using Asamoah as LB in the 4231. It's going to be a massive adjustment for both, player and team, and a major compromise. The only place I see for Asamoah in that formation is as part of the 4(2)31. Alongside, Vidal and Pogba/Pirlo.

Asamoah's thread is filled with people complaining about his offense and praising his defensive abilities so naturally you'd think he'd be ok as a LB with less offensive duties.

I think he can play that position just fine probably but would rather him starting in CM. But if there is no place for him at CM I would gladly have him *try* LB in a 4 man back line. If not, we have Peluso who is ok.

There is much less dribbling involved for a 4 man LB. Mostly crossing. Peluso can cross at least. But I would try Asamoah there first if the midfield is too crowded.

Asamoah would be just fine as a LB. He would be at least decent, comparing to others, given the very low level in the position even in the greatest clubs of the world. He would be a better LB than a LWB, since he defends better than attacks.

But it would be a waste indeed. As a CM he could perhaps reach WC level.

I just don't trust Peluso. He looks too slow and clumsy sometimes.

its amazing how the admirors of fancy talent on tuz totally diss asamoah "cause he cannot cross or dribble"

yet every halfdecent or better football journalist/analyst, is speaking how he was essential to our scudetto

:)

Asamoah will end up in goal next season.

He's a passable left wingback, but left back really is a waste and not playing to his strengths. Still, stranger things have happened...
Hopefully after a decade quest, this year we may get a proper starter LB.
Asamoah playing as a Left wing back was essential to our scudetto success, but that doesn't equate to Asamoah as a brilliant option for the role. It was so important because we haven;t had a player on the left flank who can defend (other than Chiellini) since Molinaro left...who could tackle but his passing was perhaps even worse than that of de ceglie. The problems with de ceglie are far too well known for me to repeat the same criticisms, suffice to say he isn't talented enough to be considered good enough a footballer for any team in the top half of Serie A.

Asamoah was important because we had a LWB who could tackle and pass the ball. We hadn't had that for a very long time. It wasn't a stroke of genius on Conte's part, it was a smart move, but one which wouldn;t have been needed at other clubs for by now they would have a specialist, quality LB. Do you recall how long it took us to find a quality right back in Lichsteiner???? Fkin years!

Its a position he can play, obviously, but we signed him on the basis of his incredibly dynamic form as a CM. Playing him at LWB means we do not see him at his best, in his natural role. A team of our stature should not need to purchase a CM and position him at LWb for the whole fkin season!

He performed infinitely better than de ceglie, but that is the same as saying a dog can run faster than a slug...

other than improvements to our front line, mainly in terms of a dribbler/flair merchant/creative SS who can turn a game with a moment of magic, who likes ot beta players with skill, the only other very obvious transfer we need to make is to buy a specialist, classy LWB. Anyone who understands football and wants Juve to improve will surely agree...

You can't say that, you don't know the sources I use for info on that case. I'm not naive, I try to filter what I read.

And the whole story about this kid is based in an interview I read at the time with Pescara's President. He could be lying, yes. But then if we can't trust interviews, we don't have anything to talk about.

http://www.seriebnews.com/calcio-me...i-accordo-vicino-con-la-juve-in-comproprieta/

Only thing I'd say about the dealing Pescara is that they seemed to be pretty keen on selling Verratti to Napoli, so it's entirely possible that they were being awkward in negotiations with Juve.

Anyway, interesting to see suggestions that Juve could be very aggressive and ambitious this summer.

It's the first summer in quite a long time that they are in a postion to make big moves.

The finances seem to be okay, there is a solid base and there is a winning team that went reasonably far in the CL.

I don't see us playing without Bonucci at the moment. Either Chiellini would play left back again or we're going to be sticking with 3 at the back.
