For next season, Juve needs to alternate between a back 3 and a back 4. They need to develop more tactical options.

We have the players already for a back 3 (including the wing backs). What we don't have are the players necessary for a 4-3-3. If we did give Giovinco one more chance - I am sure he would be better as an attacking player on the left of that front 3. The key missing pieces are a clinical center forward (hopefully that will be someone like Higuain with Llorente as his back up) and a skillfull right sided attacking midfielder - hence the Nani rumors. Pepe was out of last season and his omission alone meant that Conte stuck to a back 3. Isla was supposed to fill that role but you know the story with him.

In a perfect world, it would be great is Juve got Higuain, Nani (or similar), and Suarez. That would be the fantasy front 3: Nani-Higuain-Suarez In reality, that won't happen (EU70m+ in transfer fees and probably EU10-15mpa in wages). The only way that would happen is if we literally got rid of every attacker we currently have and get rid of them at decent prices - that is not Marotta's strong point.

However, if Juve got 2 of the 3 players listed above, that would be doable and would drastically lift the quality of the team.

Why is it that everyone wants to piss on the 3-5-2 again?
Because we've been meh with it for the past month or so. It'll look better with one or two more attacking wing backs and better strikers. Also I think player energy and enthusiasm has been a little down since going out of CL and confirming our scudetto lead.

My realistic mercato would be something like.

Diamanti, Higuain, Ansaldi (or any capable LB/LWB that we can get our hands on). If we had any money left we ought to go after a Pirlo replacement but I think that we'll make that a central mercato objective next summer.

What would you consider decent prices for our strikers?
Vucinic would be surely at most 7-10m.
Matri maybe 10m.
Quags- 8m
Giovinco- 12m.

The question would be...who wants to sign them? I think only clubs lower ranked than ours, which makes the moves even harder to conjure, whether we have moggi or marrotta as our DS. Who wants Mirko??? (please don't repeat that lunatic suggestion of Feruson's interest). The same can be said of all of our attackers, i.e. they would only be wanted by lower ranked teams.

Buffon
Lichtsteiner - Barzagli - Chiellini - Peluso
Vidal - Pirlo/Pogba
Diamanti - Marchisio - Jovetic
Higuain

:touched:
 Diamanti and Peluso in the starting 11, and no place for Bonucci :howler: :yao:

Talk about weakening our 2 strongest lines (defense and midfield; Buffon is beyond doubt or dispute), to accommodate two very average players.

Well if you want, Lichtsteiner - Barzagli - Boncci - Chiellini.

But Bonucci is cack in a back 4, and when Peluso played as a LB (not a LWB) he played quite solid.

You still have Vidal, Pirlo and Marchisio there, just Diamanti and Jovetic on the wings for more attacking power. If you'd like a 4-3-3 it can change so easily, just Marchisio wouldn't be playing as a trequartista.

Buffon
Lichtsteiner - Barzagli - Bonucci - Chiellini
Vidal - Pirlo - Marchisio
Diamanti - Higuain - Jovetic

A sentire tante voci avrei dovuto cacciarlo!

The first can be JoJo: Della Valle says no

Higuain: interlocutory summit. Summit for the budget. The President purple: "Of Jovetic talk about that in 10 days. However, even if you will fight for the title, a fan base that will never find "

TURIN, May 8, 2013 - How much different this spring from last year. Yes, Juventus is still champion of Italy, but in general scenario there are few contact points. Look at the Florentine Jovetic: a year ago was not for sale, difso from the barricades purple Della Valle and "never to Juventus." The Montenegrin hesitated, on the one hand with an eye to Juventus without being too obvious, the other by obeying the orders of his superiors. In the end it all came to nothing, because the Bianconeri had turned on Giovinco and another type of campaign purchases.

SHADES 'Twelve months later, Juventus continues to be interested in Jovetic; Jovetic continues to be (very) interested in Juventus and the Della Valle seem to be less intransingenti on the possible buyer of their jewelery. So that the same Andrea, the youngest of the brothers and honorary president of the Forentina, explains: "With Stevan (Jovetic) we talked at length this summer, so clear, and we will do it again in ten days, looking into the eyes , reiterating certain concepts. He so far has behaved very mature guy and this should be appreciated. Personally I hope that remains. Never to Juventus? Again, we'll talk again in ten days, it makes no sense to do it now also out of respect for the team and the fans. What I can say is that you can also go elsewhere to fight for the title, but a climate like the one we breathe today in Florence, in an environment like this, with a fan base like this, a player can not find it so easily. " To want to interpret strength you can also sense the tone of farewell and the glimmers of an opening to Juventus, where - actually - Jovetic would be to fight for the title (not just for the Champions League).

NO, THANKS also why the "shield" interesting to JoJo, in the sense that the possibility of leaving Italy does not seem to exalt him above all. Choice that cuts out the clubs of the Premier concerned (City and Arsenal in particular). A crucial detail to start the negotiations in the direction of Turin. Negotiation that, as announced by the Della Valle, could take off in ten days and have as technical counterparts Matri (favorite of Giovinco) and half of brown. Meanwhile Beppe Marotta has already met with the agent Ramadami, which - on the other - I take care of the interests of Ljajic, out of contract next year and another goal Juventus, on which Della Valle said: "We are trying to renew his contract , luckily I kept it a year ago and Montella saw in him something important. To hear many voices I had to chase him! We should not have problems to lengthen the contract. "

GONZALO E Marotta, meanwhile, also met Ernesto Bronzetti for the second time in a few days. The man the international market, which has the full confidence of Real Madrid to deal in Italy, is discussing with the Bianconeri to Gonzalo Higuain, the striker that the Spanish club has decided to sell part of the list and Juventus. Bronzes has registered interest in whiteness, but not yet a real offer to take Madrid. For it must wait for the Bianconeri carry out a technical point, able to more accurately determine the margin of economic maneuver within which the market will move. A meeting that will determine the budget Juventus and that could happen in the next few days and after which all could move with greater speed. That said, Higuain remains high in the hit parade of the moment.

Jojo didn't have a season as expected, but still, he would be an improvement to our current strikers.

Also good thing about this deal is that we could insert a player we don't need.

How much potential would you estimate Benteke have then? Worth the risk?
Diamanti as a rotational player I would not mind but he is far off from a starting position and he if he isn't its due to poor quality that needs to be dealt with.
I don't want Benzema, he would suit us but we need Higuin's abilities much more desperately. I still think we need a real Lb or LWB and clean out in our team.

Well, Manchester United is keen on Vucinic although I suspect they are much more interested in Marchisio. They would be prepared to offer Nani in exchange deal with one of those 2 players. I think Vucinic could be worth more than Quags or Matri on the market. Having said that, it seems only ManU are interested. Any bid below 10m is not worth selling Vucinic in my view. Anything above is.

Arsenal is rumored to be interested in both Matri & Quagliarella although I suspect they would go for only one. My guess is 10m is the most we could expect from either one - more realistically high single digits.

Giovinco is a tricky one. Thats because some coaches hate him, and others really like him. So it all depends on who has the hots for him. My guess is if anyone is interested in him, it would be a Spanish or English club. I don't think most Italian or German coaches would dig him. I reckon 12m is market price - so agreed. Hopefully he gets some games and lifts his profile before the end of the season.

Juventus like Bonaventura – agent
By Football Italia staff

The agent of Atalanta’s Giacomo Bonaventura says his client has a reason to impress Juventus officials this evening.

The 23-year-old has been one of the Nerazzurri’s most consistent performers this season and he could be targeted by bigger clubs at the end of the campaign.

“It is no secret that Bonaventura is held in high esteem by boss Antonio Conte and sporting director Fabio Paratici,” Giocondo Martorelli told Tutto Juve.

“And it is obviously pleasing to know that he is being followed and is rated by the big clubs, but for now he is just concentrating on Atalanta.

“Anyhow, any side that is interested will have to firstly talk to Atalanta given that he is under contract with them.

“Right now, there is no one between Inter, Fiorentina, Napoli, Juventus and Roma who are leading the chase.”

Bonaventura has scored seven goals in 32 League games this term.
