Does that even matter? Considering the mgmt likes to say they look at the 'whole player' that signing pretty much makes that null and void.

Ok, Ibra is 31 and is still the 3rd best player in the world.

Chiellini is 29 in 2 months. SELL.
Buffon is 35. SELL.
Barzagli is 32. SELL.
Lichtsteiner is 29. SELL.
Sorry I don't see a connection there

Because that's all there is to it  Certainly nothing to do with higher ambitions.
Higher ambitions than what? Winning two scudetti and making it to the QF's in our first bid in the CHL under this management? We lost to a Bayern side which is head and shoulders above the next best team in the world.

Yeah we've really been lackluster when it comes to ambitions.

Stop assuming that what the press write is true, they have positively no way of knowing what wages we agreed - and if we agreed to anything - with RVP and Aguero.

Llorente might be the highest earner of the team, but he's within the wage cap set by management. When we signed him he was definitely worthy of that wage and will probably be again.
Most of it are pure rubbish.

I don't understand why it's so hard for people to understand. By the end of the 10/11 season we would've been fucked if Exxor didn't drop a gigantic sum of money at the front door.

I wonder, all these people advocating the big moves out of some idea of what Juventus is and what we should be - is there no shame in relying on outside investors? Where is the pride in being able to win two scudetti and reach the QF's while maintaining financial stability and an image of a healthy club? We don't see none of that praise, all we see is infantile bitches throwing fits because they can't have a cool name on the back of their fucking jersey. Maggots
We would be and yet we managed to spend close to 220m in transfer fees under such 'dire' conditions. It is fans like yourself who probably need to make an excuse or give undue importance to situations that are not the cause of certain glaring failures. This is not about having a cool name on the back of a jersey. This is a signal to the fans across the world that since winning the CL is an objective, we intend to go about doing something in that direction. If you told me in season one of the project that we should be building a core and a self sustaining team, I would understand. If you told me in season two that we need depth, I would understand, but I'd you're trying to make excuses of debt ridden histories and how 'weak' this club is in such an eccentric European climate full of oil money then you are wrong. Because the project at some point in its curve involves growth, and that grow co-incides with a certain leap in quality. Like Elkann said it himself, and I don't think it was a shot in the dark, ambiguous to what he has seen of our mercatos: the time for talk is over.

This conversation is over. You acknowledge that the curve involves growth and yet speak of it as if there has been none. Who gives a fuck about the players we have if we keep attaining results. And don't hand me inductive reasoning "from this season we can conclude that we don't have what it takes to improve further in the CHL". You don't know, no one does.

You're so incredibly stupid that it hurts to read your posts.
Extremely mature argument there, way to keep it civilised  Funny, for how much you like to call me 'ignorant teenager' you sure do like to insult a lot to someone that rarely if ever insults you.

Sorry I don't see a connection there
Tevez too old? Nice way to avoid the subject

Not signing a top striker would massively show a lack of ambition considering our massive and obvious deficiency there. Llorente still has question marks too. If we didn't I would be extremely disappointed since it would show we have 0 ambition to win the CL.

New Sanchez links. We are now moving on to phase two chasing the likes of Sanchez and Suarez after we are probably missing out on Higuain, Jovetic and Tevez. After we realise that Sanchez is a cunt and Suarez is just a wet dream we will focus our transfer activities in Italy (Gilardino and Pazzini).
Suarez was actually Phase Zero, since we never really had a chance :D

So we can't afford Jovetic or Higuain because we can't meet the 30m asking price but we can try and go after Suarez now instead?

Im not assuming anything. I said we were close to an agreement or had agreed to a deal. To come close to an agreement we would be offering salaries in the realm of what you're claiming Tevez would earn now. Aguero was on 6m at AtM. RvP at 8-9m at Arsenal? Do you really think either of them would come to Juve close to our 4.5m wage cap which you OBVIOUSLY know to be as what we are willing to offer. And to think I'm the one assuming.

Llorente is worthy of being the top earner of this team when we signed him? Wonder what the likes of Buffon, Vidal and Chiellini are given the seasons they had in that case. Please stop trying to justify everything so blindly. Objectivity never hurt anyone. I suggest you try it.

The only good that will come out of not signing one of Jovetic, Suarez, Ibrahimovic, Higuain or Tevez will be...

...Dzeko.

One step closer guys. One step closer. :touched:

I don't believe we ever agreed wages with Aguero. We never imo passed to that point as we were overbid by City. Most of the alleged interests for players you read about are pure fabrications.
