Alright, this is what I'll agree to. Llorente, Lewandowski and Soldado are obviously better than Osvaldo. Negredo might inch him, but I feel the same towards both Osvaldo and Negredo, same quality. Claiming that Damiao is better is just luda - the kid hasn't proved a goddamn thing.

I did. However, I disagree on two points:

1) He isn't quality (and his horrible attitude has a lot to do with it, not to mention his consistency)

2) There are other players of superior quality we should be capable of signing (not Higuain, Cavani, or the like) but definitely players better than Osvaldo. If we can't get anyone, then we should invest in youth as we might get a pleasant surprise. With Osvaldo there's a certain guarantee/you know what you are getting, and it isn't much really.

Cmon, he's pretty good this season, seriously doing better then matri. However, the price should justify the upgrade.

I don't think Osvaldo is much of an upgrade over Matri and/or Quag. If at all.

I like Matri and would rather keep him than see money spent on Osvaldo.

Use the money to purchase an 18 year old or whatever, team needs significant steps.

Osvaldo is neither class, nor a good role model. He is an arrogant cunt with a horrible attitude. Yes, he does score some nice goals, and is going through a purple patch presently, but we should be aiming much, much higher. Osvaldo is hardly an upgrade, if one at all, and that's why I fail to see the need to buy him. If we get rid of Matri/Quag and replace them with Osvaldo it's like for like in my book.

However, regardless of the fee, I don't see Osvaldo as an upgrade at all. I obviously dislike him due to his attitude; perhaps, had he been a more likable character I'd be more open to having him here.
