He's a good forward with a dodgy attitude and flickering form that will score plenty of goals for a mid tier side like Roma as long as he stays on Zeman's good side.

He might score goals at Juve and he might not but it's not a bank buy at all.

I watched almost all their games last season and I really don't think he was all that. With Bielsa's tactics I suspect even Amauri could score a decent amount of goals :D
I think he was great, scoring 30 goals in 49 matches, And in a Bielsa system, where he doesn't even fit in.

I think he fits much more in now. With this tactic Bielsa made for a header like Aduriz.

You should source one of your informers to find out if there is a possibility of opening dialogue with them

Osvaldo? Fuck that.

Dont let Roma's overly offensive tactics (which will result in strikers scoring MUCH more goals than usual due to everyone pouring forward providing assists) fool you. He really isnt any good. A bit better than what we have...enough of that. We should only sign a top striker when we have the available funds to do so, adding more mediocre strikers to our collection achieves nothing
So, 3 goals in 5 matches for the National team, is that also thanks to Zeman?

I don't think Osvaldo is much of an upgrade over Matri and/or Quag. If at all.
Pretty much this.

And not only isnt he much of an upgrade, but he seems to have pretty shitty discipline as well. I just dont want the club to waste another 15M or more on another okay-ish striker.

He's had 1 good game in 5 for the Azzurri.

He was beyond fucking shit against Armenia, dont let his easy as piss goal fool you. And then his stupid and needless redcard against Denmark, in another game where he was absolutely useless.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Osvaldo  :howler: Fuck him with a giant steel pipe until his anus turns purple. Fuck that cuntbag, twat, son of a bitch. People jizzing their pants to an average striker because he's having a purple patch. He's nothing special, and his attitude stinks. I'd rather we invest in youth (as they might surprise), or go all out for top quality. Since we can't afford top quality, no point in wasting money on Osvaldo when we have the likes of Quag, Matri, and Bendtner. We have already wasted enough money on average strikers in the past. No need to add another guy who won't be much of an upgrade to our already very meh looking front line (with the exception of Vucinic of course).

What's my university standards ?? You think there aren't good enough because it's an african country.

Racism much ?? :disagree:
Are you even reading your own posts? One thing is for sure: you haven't read any of mine during my tenure here at Tuz. That is the last I'll say on your absolutely absurd insinuations that I hold any racist tendencies. You can inform yourself through Fred and Bisco if you still doubt that.

Your university standards implied that I think you come off less intelligent than a Gnu staring into the water contemplating whether it should cross it or not - that is merely my point. There are plenty of unintelligent and hilariously incompetent scholars everywhere.

In the future I beg of you that you actually read my post, I think I put my relation to the whole Osvaldo saga very well in the post before your "Osvaldo :howler" smiley. Please re-read it, and for the sake of your own reputation in here I would suggest that you stop playing the racist card whenever I call you out on something, it's fucking lame and it underplays the whole seriousness of the racist problems we face today. Stop prostituting it for the sake of getting around the fact that you know fuck-all and are incapable of a coherent train of thought.

Dude please. you have an obsession with mediocre shit like Borriello and now a very average Osvaldo.

Pazzini, Osvaldo, Borriello, Zarate, and the like are not what we need to move forward. Fuck Osvaldo.

So I take it you didn't read my post on the previous page. And as I've explained many a times my so called "obsession" with Borriello stems only from a purely protest action to this forums hilarious reception of him here - on a loan deal furthermore. Since he left, have I ever asked for his return? No. I simply wanted people to give him a shot while he was here, and I thought he performed better than 99% of the forum did. If that's basis for dismissing any opinion I will ever have on any footballer in the future, then continuing to communicate with you and some others in here seems like nothing but an absolute waste of time.

:agree:

Osvaldo isn't a 15 mil-20mil upgrade, he's barely better than the likes of Matri and Bendtner.

We either sign a definite upgrade or we stick to the shit we have now, we don't need more shit.

For 15-20mil he definitely shouldn't be signed, but we never discussed prices we discussed the pretext for signing him at all.

I did. However, I disagree on two points:

1) He isn't quality (and his horrible attitude has a lot to do with it, not to mention his consistency)

2) There are other players of superior quality we should be capable of signing (not Higuain, Cavani, or the like) but definitely players better than Osvaldo. If we can't get anyone, then we should invest in youth as we might get a pleasant surprise. With Osvaldo there's a certain guarantee/you know what you are getting, and it isn't much really.

1) if you did, why the hell is your initial response to it filled with "I can't believe that people are jizzing their pants over Osvaldo" when clearly, none of that has been going on.

2) If some of the big spenders snatch up Llorente, who do you see as a better alternative to Osvaldo?

If anyone doubts your university's credibility I bet it will be because of you passing it, not because of the country it is in.

Could you care to give me a lesson about the Pareto principle, i skip that class.

Why would Roma sell him for less than they got him ??
