I have to ask, am I the only one who sits on the forums for 3 hours at a stretch during the transfer season, alternating between football italia, goal, vs, TS, TJ, and back to the forum for minute by minute updates on news and headlines being made? I do this 3 times a day for 2-3 hours at a time. :scared:
You can include me too..I'm going to take a massive break once the window shuts !

I trusted Moggi in the last days of the Mercato; he always had this knack, ability, cunning to surprise. I don't have the same faith in Marotta :boh:

In any case, if we don't sign a quality striker, and with options @ LWB/LB looking relatively thin, I'd give this mercato a 6.
Yep. 6 is about right. Dzeko/Kolarov would be a 9 for me. Llorente/Peluso would be an 81/2. JoJo/Armero (despite being cup tied) would be a 10. All on paper anyway. The real results count on the pitch.

According to some guy in tuttomercato Benfica values Cardozo in 15M, Juventus offered 8M so far - pretty believable, Marotta-esque.

For 10/11M I'd say it's worthy, even though not the ideal.

We are covered on lb/lwb with Asamoah, De Ceglie and Chielini. No need to invest there. But I agree we need quality striker and we should have offloaded Iaquinta, Matri or Quag way before. As well as Ziegler, Martinez and Padoin.

JoJo + Armero would make it a 9 for me. Dzeko or Llorente + Armero would make it an 8.5. Anything with a Peluso in it makes it an 8. There is no such thing as a perfect Mercato  :D

In any case, I can't wait for the CL draw, and the reactions of people here, especially if we don't get a striker. Mind you, if we don't get a striker, or acquire someone (an underwhelming acquisition), I'm looking forward to the apologists's excuses :D

JoJo +Armero a 9, Llorente + Armero 8,5, Dzeko + Armero 9...the same combos with Peluso will reduce the ratings for 0.5 pts.

. But now there are only three more days at the end of the market and make negotiations abroad is very difficult, because international transfers involving many more details.
Picked this piece from a Sky report. :D

Apologist excuse #62: We cant blame Marrotta, the fax machine was broken.

Apologist excuse #76: Marrotta cant help it if the mercato closed before an opportunity opened up.

Apologist excuse #84: Marrotta is not supported by the board. They wanted players like Negredo.

Apologist excuse #99: The jeers will soon turn into applause.

Kinda agree. I would rule out Llorente and Dzeko if there is no news about them tomorrow. Thursday onwards Borriello would be my new favourite.

Guys, some reports coming in that Anelka and Drogba may have to be sold by their Chinese clubs coz of some disputes. There seems to be a fight among the shareholders. Might be s good move for Juve to step in with the original 4m salary we offered Didier apparently. Back from China to the Champions League. Would be nicer than the Borriellos and Caramellos.
