People were talking about Inter being broke(I'm not sure where they got that much money spend from)..In that respect they've spent a fair bit i mean almost 50m for a club in a precarious financial situation.

Though they have got rid of players with high wages and still trying too with the likes of Maicon etc.

no more bullshit about buying on our terms, it didn't work since 2 seasons ago and it certainly does not work today; even moggi would've 'overpaying' on today reality... heck we actually overpaid matri so that's laughably ironic.

either we play into the game or risk behind, we may still survive this season or next season, but our pretty average forwards are getting older and frankly, shittier and then we will risk having no striker

what's next? llorente on january? our season could've been decided by that time.
cardozo for 8m? not sure why benfica would agree
gillardino? lol

and so on

Agnelli already said what will be our future model and it will be probably for the other Italian clubs for some time. We will buy quality youngsters, 10 or more milion every year will be invested in that department. Now and then we will buy some quality player. Before 2006 we've never spent so much as in last couple of years unless we sold some players first.

juve track record with youngsters never impressive..., we almost always got success with mature players... and success especially on europe with youngsters is almost impossible today, look at arsenal... or german/dutch teams (except bayern)

will serie a become like eredivisie? :fear:

Nah there's too many important people involved with football in Italy and alot of clubs are starting to build new stadiums short term and medium term we will suffer but long term the league's future is looking bright. Anyway Juve's finances are fine so we have nothing to worry about unless of course a calicipoli 2.0 made up by moratti and skum happens

Marchisio, De Ceglie, Giovinco are our youngsters and they are doing very good. I expect a lot from Pogba. Del Piero was 19 years when we brought him. The point is we never spent as much as other big European clubs unless we sold someone big like Zidane.

Some chineese company bought in shares for 70 mil i think, they were planning on a new stadium (they'd loan for it) and invest some in transfers as they are doing now

Yeah, our undefeated champions, who only got better with good signings, will have their season decided by januari, when we are 20 points behind the leaders...

Also, moggi overpayd after a 70 mil zidane sale

i assume you would suggest then we'd sold marchisio and vidal for 60 mil to bayern and bought a striker of it ?

Serie a has to adapt, so there is a change in strategy

Pogba and others we aquired are great prospects

We will still sign players, but at medium fee's, and try to invest in youngsters

Dunno if this has been posted but

Fiorentina have rejected a €30m offer from Juventus for Stevan Jovetic, reports the Corriere dello Sport.
Yep. His agents presented the offer and Pradè refused, saying that Jovetic has to stay there at least one more year.

Marotta needed to be more aggressive on this one.

Anyway, I think it's likely that we'll get no one at this point.
Only chance for Jovetic is if he suddenly bursts and demands a move to Juventus, highly unlikely; Cavani 0 chance;
Dzeko only if City sign someone big now and Mancini decides to let him go, which also is unlikely atm;
Bilbao is playing a very hard game for Llorente, saying that either Juve pays every cent or no deal - this could be only a strategy to sell in the last minute or not. But Bilbao is a tough club, they can definitely get hold of the player.

So I'd say we have a small chance of landing Llorente right now and that's it. Maybe then Cardozo will come for 15M, this looks like a panic buy in the last day.

don't forget that the market for youngsters are also much inflated... and what's stopping these european big spenders from entering the same market? it already happened with city and psg... and ironically due to italian jobs... lol even fucking southampton tried to 'steal' a guy like ramirez... cursed those who started calciopoli and made italian football this FUBAR...

I trusted Moggi in the last days of the Mercato; he always had this knack, ability, cunning to surprise. I don't have the same faith in Marotta :boh:

In any case, if we don't sign a quality striker, and with options @ LWB/LB looking relatively thin, I'd give this mercato a 6.

I have to ask, am I the only one who sits on the forums for 3 hours at a stretch during the transfer season, alternating between football italia, goal, vs, TS, TJ, and back to the forum for minute by minute updates on news and headlines being made? I do this 3 times a day for 2-3 hours at a time. :scared:
