it's not like they have much of a choice with DDR - it seems his unwillingness to renew has more to do with him wanting to be part of a winning team than money and they could probably get 10 mil from City now as opposed to lose him for free in 5 mnths. They would probably go for one of Casemiro/Paulinho and maybe even Guarin ... iirc, they still have both non-EU spots open.

As for Pizarro, he never seemed to be part of their plans for the future and at 32 yo, understandably so. They could still keep him around till the summer should DDR leave now, though.
