Panic deals implies we would have tons of injuries or horrible results so far, neither is the case this season (which is oddity for us...).

Does anyone expect panic loans in the end of January? Gastaldello, Cassetti, Destro(He'd be awesome), maybe Traore back? :D
not really
if anyone hasn't been noticing i think this winter mercato it is one of the most prepared of the last years
after the moggi era obvious

if we don't get the first we already have a valid second alternative that we have contacts with

in middfield talks about pizarro but there is still palombo that is a valid alternative if we don't get him
in defence caceres first choice than there is bochetti again a valid alternative
in my opinion we are moving good
as for cassetti i don't even consider him an alternative he is a 1977
destro would be a good signing but he has a value around 10 mil i think don't think he would come in january

Our buys in Jan need to be quick. No deadline day entries please. Bringing players early would get them prepared, adjusted by Jan. Bringing them amidst the headlines on deadline day along with all the pressure would get them adjusted by March. The earlier, the better. The earlier, the cheaper.
I honestly think that is what they are trying to do.

We didn't have them last summer though.

We loaned Sørensen, Rianudo and Traore 31st August.
Yeah, the latter two was obviously just scraping the bottom of ze barrel for last resort fringe options, after Marrotta was out of options with his other dealings.

:agree:

Injuries are the issue with Pizarro.
Not really. Ever since 04/05 season he played like 30 matches in every Serie A season (except one when he had an injury). I think that's rather high amount of matches, I think Pirlo has the same numbers actually.

It's just his 'issue' with the new system in Roma. Basically the only reason he's being ignored. Having said that, I think he's going to be perfect for us, as he'll have much more freedom, space and time with the ball.

Pirlo had alot of injury issues before he came to us aswell, Pizarro could be easily given a 2 year deal, it's not as if he's lightening quick anyway, or ever was.
