Not really. Ever since 04/05 season he played like 30 matches in every Serie A season (except one when he had an injury). I think that's rather high amount of matches, I think Pirlo has the same numbers actually.
Feels like he's been injured more than that over the last couple of years.

Maybe it just seems more due to how much Roma miss him when he doesn't play.

It's just his 'issue' with the new system in Roma. Basically the only reason he's being ignored. Having said that, I think he's going to be perfect for us, as he'll have much more freedom, space and time with the ball.
I've no doubt about his abilities.

Still seems mad to me that Enrique doesn't use him, especially since he's the player at Roma most capable of imitating Xavi.

I went to post this earlier and then got sidetracked, I really don't understand how Enrique cannot find space for a passer like Pizarro in his system. If it's a personality clash fair enough.

No doubt about that. I've said it many times, he was the key in their midfield. It was him easily over De Rossi over the past 3 years.

I don't think he can play in such system. He's one of those players that takes time to lead whole team. Ever since his Udinese days he's used at holding ball for quite a wall and leading, which their system doesn't imply at the moment. He can't play faster football and can't get rid of the ball. He got his chance this season, but he was rather bad and his flaws under Enrique are visible. But for our 4-3-3 he's gonna shine as he'll have Marchisio and Vidal next to him, pretty sure we'll see a player who can easily replace even Pirlo.

Think it's because Pizarro is still likely to want to play his natural game, rather than really playing the system.

Would obviously be a disaster for Roma if they had a player playing good, long, incisive passes, rather than endlessly nudging the ball ten yards sideways like the system requires.

We had no replacement ST for matri. dont start about iaq, amauri and toni, those are done for
We didnt have a RW/RCF that works and has an offensive endproduct

boriello is the first, and could be the second one if coached right

if it doesnt work out, we send him back after loan

how on earth is that crap
