I don't get it, you've got Krasic & Elia on the 'out' list but also included on the team list?
Also, I'd say Ramirez is going to command a much higher transfer fee given his performances so far this season

My lower cost option still would involve spending big on defense. If we do reach our goal of Champions League place - top 3....then we need 3 very good center backs. At the moment I only feel comfortable with Barzagli and Chiellini. Bonucci I still don't trust for now. I would rather spend 30m on defense than anywhere else. How we spend it would depend heavily on who is available. In other words, I would rather keep Bonucci if it meant gambling on some other CB who was 3rd or 4th choice in our transfer market plans. In other words, world class or zip. Lichsteiner was not cheap as far as full backs go, but you can see he is worth every cent - very consistent. Better to spend 10-15m on a player you can trust than spend 6-7m, not be satisfied and then sell him at a loss and get another average one.

Lower cost option would be:

DEFENSE:

BUY:
Hummels (20m)
Kolarov (15m)
Loan a back up Right back (free)

SELL:
Bonucci (10-12m)
Motta (3m)
Ziegler (5m)

NET SPEND on DEFENSE = -10m

MIDFIELD:

BUY:
MONTOLIVO (free on Bosman)
GIOVINCO (say 5m + some other worthless Juve player to secure him - we already have half)

SELL:
MELO (13m assuming Gala take up the rights)
ONE OF Krasic or Elia depending on performance (10-15m)

NET on Midfield = +EU18-20m

ATTTACK

BUY:
NO-ONE or loan a promising young striker. (Giovinco can be used as a striker so Vucinic, Matri, Quags, Toni or Iaquinta and Giovinco should be plenty)

SELL:
AMAURI (free), Iaquinta OR Toni (3m).

NET on forwards: +3m

So total net is -10m on Defense +18-20m from midfield and +3m from Forwards.....total net spend is = +15m!!!!

Squad would be much stronger in my view. I think Giovinco will be better than ONE of Krasic or Elia and a natural successor to Del Piero in a way. Hummels > Bonucci; Kolarov > every left back we currently have. Montolivo adds depth to midfield.

That could all work rather well. Now, IF we wanted to actually SPEND something.....then we can dish out EU30m+ on Mr X! A player guaranteed to make a difference. There are a lot of good players you can buy with that kind of money - Robben, Ribery, Nani, Van Persie just to name a few. Even then our net spend would only be -15m.

If Marotta is smart, he can really build a highly competitive squad if he plays his cards right.

toni his contract expires at the end of the season. he won't be here next season
I do agree with you we don't really need a striker as first we still have immobile too who is leading the serie B topgoalscoring league

We need:

1) A very good LB
2) A top notch CB
3) A quality player on the right side of our attacking trident
4) A backup RB
5) A backup CM

If the board can afford a nice gift for the fans (SS/awesome winger, depending on which formation we choose to deploy), then that would be an added bonus as well.

1) Kolarov
2) Hummels (or Ivanovic if he is for sale)
3) Robben!!!! Ok realistically I have no idea......it SHOULD be Krasic but where did he go!!!?
4) Get a loan for that back up - Beck is too expensive to just be a back up
5) Montolivo (we need a player with Pirlo type characteristics rather than a nasty ball winner or box to box player)

Montolivo is useless (I think he will sign for one of the milan merdas too) I rather have hernanes

Robben cost 40m and wants 8m per season for being injured 50% of the season
No bad word I love Robben so much but he is always injured

A quality left back and a centre back in January is all i want. A Left Winger, Giovinco, maybe a decent back up RB or Krasic replacement would be a welcomed bonus anything else is unnessary.

1) lets not even kid ourselves with kolarov, city wont let him go, Ansaldi is a better balanced player over all and eliminates option 4 of getting a back up rb as well

2) meh

3) meh shaqiri would be ideal

4) see num. 1 p.s. beck was close to joining us in the summer for a fee of around 5 mill, but we went for licht.

5) montolivo is not a pirlo type player, as it stands appelt will be integrated into the first team as from January, and from what i've seen so far, looks very promising, comfortable on the ball, and very good at intercepting the ball, rather emerson esq

Good to hear.

Ansaldi and Ramirez would be my picks. Ramirez can also play CAM so it increases our midfield depth.

The only risky area is staying with Chiellini/Barzagli/Bonucci as our CBs but i think it's fine with competent fullbacks.
