Well I hear he's on the verge of buying Rossi for 25m plus Melo for starters. And this isn't about this season alone, its his overall job so far. He's got to have a near perfect mercato, to undo last season's catastrophe.

Other than that he has done a pretty good job at fixing our fullback situation, is working to fix the LW problem and has reinforced the midfield with some smart moves. He also retrieved Ekdal and brought 3 promising talents to the club. And the mercato isn't even over yet.

Quag of last season was beating defenders easily, and he really didn't need to, he was scoring goals from every angle for us. as for dribbling, thats what Krasic and probably Bastos will be for.

We were in the red this season as a consequence of the last. WTF are you on? It is signings like Martinez and Bonucci that don't sell merchandise or perform on the pitch thats a large reason for where we are. Out of Europe, and dumping on 7th place as we speak. Marrotta has name dropped every body from Benzema to Higuain to Pastore, and Aguero. Superstars don't fear a lack of CL one season if they are paid well and see a project in place. It's the same reason coaches have rejected us. Not because of our lack of European participation, but more because we don't have clear ideas going forward.

Martinez has played 14 times for us, I wonder how may were starts. I believe it's unfair to judge him, Bonnucci I don't like, but I also think it's premature to write him off, Giorgio wasn't a superstar when we signed him, he was coming off 2 very good seasons, only one at a 'big' club.

Marrotta is our sporting director, DELNERI was our manager, I think you are confusing the two. I also think you lack an understanding of how a footbal clubs work in its transfers. The SD is 100% in control, he works in conjunction with the presidency, other directors and coaches. Had we signed Deschamps do you think we would have bought those 12 players? Do you honestly think that Delneri didn't pick a large number of those players?

This entire anti-marrota vitriol is being fueled by nostalgia and ignorance rather than any actual real term groundings. At least give him the 11/12 season an judge him as a whole then.

My point is that neither Quag nor Matri are supportive strikers, they can't create anything on their own. I dont know about you guys, but I'd sleep better at night knowing that a big part of our chance creating doesn't rest on Del Piero's 37 year old legs every Sunday.

Quag is a better value player than Rossi. He adds as much if not more, in defense, at less than half the price. Obviously you only followed Juve post Janaury if that's shat you think. Quag and Matri is easily a pairing that can get us a top 3 finish if our defense and mid is in order. Adding Rossi to it won't make us much better. The only difference is, we'd be 25m down and weaker in midfield.

Pepe can create chances too, but he isn't as good in that role as Rossi is.
