Because by the looks of it Perotti is no fancy work and little end product. I've been searching up to find something promising from him for 45 minutes and he hasn't been overly impressive on youtube, where you can make just about anyone look impressive. Looks like another short cut that Marotta is looking to resort to. He tried buying 'promising' players last season.
Perotti is by no means a great player. Isn't he a winger, didn't we just sign Bastos?

So 3 moves which don't even present a scoring opportunity? I don't think beating your man counts for a winger if you're forced to cut in and can't get a good cross in. Talk about risk management, that's exactly what defenders prefer. If they can make you cut in thats easily the lesser of evils unless you're dealing with Robben. He needs the help of his LB to provide a decent cross for their first goal. I don't think Perotti looks like a bad player but I don't think he looks like he will take us anywhere in the future and there are better looking prospects out there so why get excited about being linked to him?
Have you ever played soccer before? I played defense my entire life and nothing is more annoying than marking a winger that has the ability to cut in and use both feet equally. What you seem to not get here is his ability to do that. You for whatever reason have watched to many ronaldo compilations. You want a guy with fancy tricks it seems...we should have signed a left footed winger instead of Nedved then by your measure of thinking. So when he cuts in you think by doing so he isn't doing anything important for himself or the team but what you don't see is the LB screaming down into open space on the flank as he pull 2 or 3 defenders in with him...and in the process he has opened up that channel and/or the prospect of taking a pop at goal and/or crossing far post however with your line of thinking what "wingers" should be doing is beating his man and taking the ball to the line...

Wingers like this (not saying him in particular) but wingers that play opposite on the field in relation to their strong foot are often some of the most annoying for any defender to mark...trust me from experience. When you watch the videos, its hard for a defender to guess which way he is going to go...sure he is more than likely to cut in so a defender will always position himself to cut off that space which leaves it open for him to possibly just explode straight for the end line to cross in...either way, the defender is left guessing when in 1v1s with him. That plays largely also to the other defender coming to double down on him...

They should just invest that money on Hazard, he's young and legit.

Krasic - Inler - Pirlo - Hazard

Matri - Giovinco

If we're not getting Sanchez, Aguero or Tevez we might as well bring Seba back.

And where exactly does he do what you say? He gives the ball away and can't get a decent cross or pass in when he cuts in. You say I overestimate the importance of skill because I've been watching Ronaldo? Ronaldo is arguably the best player in the world and a big reason for that is his amazing skill. The same goes for a very long list of players. I won't even justify your Nedved comment with a response because Nedved had amazing speed and an amazing shot and used his left foot extremely well. Perotti from everything I've seen doesn't look like has any of those qualities to boast about. If he's not going to have the skills to beat his man he'll need pace and an amazing shot (which he must not because he only scored 3 goals last season while Nedved at his best scored 14 and Robben 9). Those are things you use when you cut in. Like I said I don't think he's that good and I'm not that excited over him he looks okay and his stats are not too bad but I don't see why you have to take an issue with me not being excited when we aren't going for quality. I'm not saying why he's a bad player, I'm saying why he's not good enough to be a Juve player and I'm not satisfied by our link to him in any respects. So why don't you just go furiously masturbate to Aguero video's or whatever your new flavour of the month is man? Because I'm not going to get in an argument with you for being critical sometimes and not getting a mass hard on for everything that comes our way which you have seemed to make a habit of.

:sergio:

I'm not saying we should by him, I'm showing you why you have no idea what you are talking about. The kid is only 22 years old playing for a slightly above average team. How do you know he won't up his game in a better team? All you seem to have in your bag of excuses is he can't beat a man which as I have already demonstrated he has/can/does quite well. Every player gives the ball away, its part of the bloody game.

I'm not taking an issue with you, I'm trying to explain to you what makes wingers like him so productive for a team...but, you can't get past beating a man so I guess there really is nothing left to say. There is a reason why Nedved and Robben can boast those kinds of stats, they were/are playing for great clubs with great players around them. Obviously that's not the only reason, but it certainly helps.

Let's hope Hazard can beat his man, otherwise he would be useless.

 Nenna does have a point though. We aren't in a position to be taking risks, considering the amount of shit we have playing for us. If he were to arrive as a backup, then great, but as a starter, then hell no!

We need a proven quality winger, and a world class SS, otherwise we aren't going places.
