I don't even rate Ade. I don't understand where Marotta said this stuff about him, it is on TuttoJuve.com

He has an Italian passport as well.
Adebayor is better then what we have, it says nothing really, but he is better then every single striker we have/own.

Adebayor (17) and Drogba(14) cost more or less of what is needed to buy Matri (16) or Quaq (11) ??
Adebayor and Drogba have giant wages.

Adebayor is very inconsistent and unreliable.

Drogba is now 33. Taking old guys like Pirlo and Toni for free is one thing, but paying a big fee for someone of that age is quite another.

preferably someone more prolific than Matri's one goal/2 matches would be enough.
More prolific than a goal every two games?

Did you not think Trezeguet, for instance, scored enough goals?

Bill are you secretly Alvin_89?
Yup.

Davide Petrucci links. I mentioned him looong time ago, I heard he's kickass.

According to La Stampa we're negotiating with Pol Garcia.

Paul Pogba links too.
I wouldn't mind bringing in some young talents, its about time we are consistent in this area. Still, we need first teamers as well so hopefully they don't lose focus.
We are interested in Diego Perotti.
...
Very good winger.
...
The other day, I remember someone saying that Conte uses wide players that play with the opposite foot to the wing they play on (like Robben and Ribéry). Perotti is another player that does this.
against R.Madrid...
Uh oh.

Elia seems like a too much fancy work no end product. Why would we look at Elia when we are looking at Perotti. :D
Because by the looks of it Perotti is no fancy work and little end product. I've been searching up to find something promising from him for 45 minutes and he hasn't been overly impressive on youtube, where you can make just about anyone look impressive. Looks like another short cut that Marotta is looking to resort to. He tried buying 'promising' players last season.

Just because you can't find something on youtube for the last 45 mins means a player is not good?

I've watched his extended highlights against real, barca and real sociedad in 2011 amongst plenty of compilations. He never tries once to beat his man. He never shows any skill beyond a few back heels. He loses the ball several times. He back passes often instead of trying to beat his man. These are highlight reels. Aren't they supposed to make him look better than he is anyway?

:howler:

His first 3 moves in this game he goes to beat 2 men in each move.

Are you being serious? I understand that there is a type of risk management involved for any footballer but he should have the confidence in his skills to not have to 'play it smart' 90% of the time and try and beat his man successfully. If he can't do that then no, he's not a good player. The best players out there aren't the best because they 'play it smart'. So yeah beating your man >>>> playing it smart every day of the week.

I don't know what highlights you have been looking at/for for the last 45mins and I sure as heck don't know how you calculated "90% of the time" either. I'm watching a quick, tricky, confident player to me. Sure he isn't world class but he gets the jobs done at least. He takes on players plenty of times.

So 3 moves which don't even present a scoring opportunity? I don't think beating your man counts for a winger if you're forced to cut in and can't get a good cross in. Talk about risk management, that's exactly what defenders prefer. If they can make you cut in thats easily the lesser of evils unless you're dealing with Robben. He needs the help of his LB to provide a decent cross for their first goal. I don't think Perotti looks like a bad player but I don't think he looks like he will take us anywhere in the future and there are better looking prospects out there so why get excited about being linked to him?
