Buffon
Lichtsteiner Lugano Chiellini De Ceglie
Vidal Pirlo Marchisio
Krasic Quagliarella Vucinic
Why do you post your lineup from the GK down to the strikers? It goes against the grain of reason. For example, if we were to consider only your back line, the way you have them listed in your lineup...

Lichtsteiner Lugano Chiellini De Ceglie

Lichsteiner is now your left back and De Ceglie is your right back. Never considered that before, right? :)

Aside from that, I agree with your thoughts on the team. Not just the first team but even the back ups in each position are more suited to 4-3-3.

Lichtsteiner would not not be the left-back by looking at that formation.

Do you read English from right to left? :sergio:

I'm not trying to knock ya or anything so don't take it personally. Seeing lineups listed from the GK down is just something that mildly annoys me.

Malouda would be awesome...even if he is getting on. I have no idea what he would be worth or more importantly, whether he would want to leave Chelsea.

Now that Villareal qualified for the champions league....I wouldn't be surprised to see Rossi linked to us yet again....(I remember in the past people speculating that we would let Rossi help Villareal qualify before taking him because it doesn't matter to us that he is cup-tied). Not saying its going to happen...but wouldn't be surprised to see the press making rumors. Of course if Rossi came, Quags would probably go to Fiorentina for Vargas.

But back to more serious things......

I have more confidence about our ability to get a decent center back. Lugano, Bruno Alves and Alex are upgrades on every Chiellini partner we have. Hopefully we can get 2 of them and sell Bonucci so that we have 3 top class center backs. If you want to be a scudetto contender you need 3 top class center backs. Its no coincidence Milan won the scudetto last year because they finally addressed their defense.

I have far less confidence that we will solve our left wing problem. Couple of factors here. Firstly, for whatever reason, there are not many top class wingers on the market right now. If they are not on the market, the top class wingers play for top class sides and they wouldn't want to join us. That is why names like Bastos and Vargas were the most credible options as they are actually willing to leave. But Conte doesn't like Bastos for some reason and Vargas is proving difficult as Fiorentina insist for Quags. Only way I can see us getting Vargas is if we actually get a top class striker ironically to replace Quags as well.

you just angry 'cause BA was bitch-slapping Benfica players left and right :p

P.S. Agree Carvalho was better but BA was the leader of Porto's defense after Carvalho and then Pepe left.
I watched that game between Benfica/Porto on the stadium and he was a complete raging bull. But watch out Pablito being classy and pissing him off at the same time. Lovely.

Not mad, though, I just don't think he's like Carvalho. He's a leader, but still a different type of defender than Carvalho is imo.

I knew it was personal with you and BA :D

No, seriously, I think he's a good defender and I rate him higher than Bonucci, Alex and probably even Lugano. Obviously, I never liked him at Porto (you saw the video and there are more), but right now I wouldn't mind to welcome him at Juve.

I was just trying to point out that even your mighty Ibra will piss his pants whenever he deals with two animals like Bruno Alves and Chiellini. :D

You realize there are two ends to a football pitch, right?

Once you have the orientation of the keeper, you should be able to figure the rest out.

True, however, this isn't a football pitch. The sum is the total of the parts and if we look at one part in isolation, it's out of whack. My first point of interaction with your typed out words is visual. What's the point in disorienting my senses right from the get go?

This stupid habit of posting lineups from the GK down to the striker has trickled down from it's use in video games rather than from good sense. Which is why I find it annoying. :frown:
