We have always operated like that. I recently watched the official Juventus movie and it had Gianni Agnelli saying that at Juventus we rather focus on young talents and develop them instead of spending crazy money on the market. It was in the eighties and is still actual.

That's very true. You can't please everyone; human beings are fickle, and what's ok to some might not rest well with others. Different moral compass and all that.

They aren't owning 'a business', unless owning Italy is a business by itself. And they've expanded to owning large parts of the world for quite a while now. They are the definition of 'industrialists', Gianni was the head of the billionaire's club which created the EU. We all loved him and even more his soft spot for Juve, but let's not get confused here.

If you make a list of all the crimes that cause suffering - well these guys have done them most and in large quantities too. Unless you think cheap politicians run the show worldwide.

I cannot say I completely disagree with you because there is some truth in your words but having no evidence you have no problem in calling Agnelli's cheaters. Or you have some deep historical knowledge since Gianni's and Umberto's father was also a businessman and bought Juventus for example.

Every player you mentioned was brought from much smaller club and became a star only in Juve. Obviously they were not no-names before but they were hardly established footballers on the grand scenes.

Tho it has to be said, back than it was something like we rather focus on young talents and develop them for ourselfs so they become our legends, not to prepare for the next step which is to sell them to a more financially potent club as more or less is the situation today... there is some middle ground here anyway, there been some dark times that passed and the board is keeping an eye towards the potent/stable future for the club both in terms of performance and financial wise which is probably the proper thing to do atm.

Then why did we sell Zidane when he was in his prime? We were the 2nd richest club by then. Another policy is that we do not keep players here against their will. It should be a privilege to play for Juve. Especially since we offer top salaries and ability to fight for every trophy there is.

I don't how we were standing salary wise in the past so it's hard for me to argue. What I do know is that we currently pay top salaries. Obviously players like Messi, Ronaldo or some other world beaters earn much more but what world beaters do we have in our squad currently?

I don't think Rugani is in our plans and Barzagli does not have a lot to offer more so yes I would say that we had an eye on De Vrij.

Have an eye on him is different from actively trying to get him, otherwise we didn't lose out on him, we are just not interested. And at this point, i would go after a RB first and foremost
