Everyone keeps saying if players don't like it here, then they're free to leave. Have you ever questioned why they want to leave? Maybe the fault doesn't lie only with the players. Perhaps they realize something is missing, and I'm not talking about money.

players 9 times out of 10 leave for more money and under the guise of winning more. Pogba and Vidal left for MUCH more money and have pretty much won nothing that they couldn’t get here.

Players don’t leave for pay cuts. So, as a club that’s equipped to reach a CL each year what’s the point in leaving? Money. That’s what it comes down to. Behind money is a confrontation with the club.

That’s my opinion.

Your last point: “something is missing”. What is missing at Juve that Vidal could get at Bayern and Pogba at ManU?

Lol how can a player come to Juve or be playing here AT A CLUB THAT HAS REACHED 2 CL FINALS and still see something missing? If the CL trophy is what they want then everyone would want Real or Barca that’s where they have the best chance.

With market prices going sky up, how do you guys think that we will cope with it? What effect will it have on our transfer policy? Will we be able to spent big money on transfers in the future while keeping our most expensive players or only if we sell big like in the past?

I personaly think that we will keep our policy and look for bargains like we always do. Even though we are one of the best teams in Europe, for some reason, we still dont spend much money. Im afraid that this transfer policy of ours will start to have a bad effect in the future if it doesnt change. Im all in for good bargain deals, but there comes a point where you must spend big if you want to get a game changing player. As football evolves, so does the market unfortunately. We must spend big in the future if we want to remain in the elite.

I hope that we will start investing more in WC players in the future. Once the old guard is gone, we must invest big.

Vidal left b/c he wanted to win CL. At that time, we weren't considered CL contenders.

Pogba left for $. He didn't wait another yr or pick a diff team that play in the CL b/c he has a fat prick for an agent.

Bonucci left b/c he stopped caring as much for the game after his son fell ill (used to repeat often how other things are more important in life). Left for more $ and b/c the bonehead's feelings were hurt.

Dani Alves is a complete bellend.


They all left for diff reasons. Both salary and how competitive the team is are important for the average player.

We can offer players 7-8m now, so salary-wise, we can satisfy some very good players. And we're one of the top-6 teams/CL contenders. The players who're still out of our reach are those who can get 8 figures at other clubs.

I agree with the assessment on Vidal and Pogba though as I do have a soft spot for Vidal while I am angry with Pogba...
That being said - If Vidal signs for Inter the whole "soft spot" thing will disappear in a second!

I think the market prices aren't that terrible, the wages some of the top players are getting worry me way more. Higuain who is our top earner is nowhere near the elite. Having top players isn't our problem, we have great scouts and a bargain specialist in charge, our problem is keeping our wc guys happy and as long as we can't afford to pay anywhere close to 15m a year we're not the best place to be

True fact.

Tho it has to be said, back than it was something like we rather focus on young talents and develop them for ourselfs so they become our legends, not to prepare for the next step which is to sell them to a more financially potent club as more or less is the situation today... there is some middle ground here anyway, there been some dark times that passed and the board is keeping an eye towards the potent/stable future for the club both in terms of performance and financial wise which is probably the proper thing to do atm.

Look, I’ll be honest. Players come and go. It doesn’t bother me because as long as the club is winning and our brand/value increases I see it as a wining model. Nothing suggests otherwise to me. I get the frustration of players going which is why I literally always say “I don’t get emotionally attached to players because I look at this as a business.” Makes it 100 times easier to stomach. I’m maybe mad for an hour when a sale confirmed but until we get a weaker coach and an SD that stops at least recognizing the weaknesses then I’ll probably voice more criticism than I do now.

Marotta has his obvious weaknesses but I’m sorry if this offends anyone, I guess the sheep in me likes where this club has come since our 2 seventh place finishes. Never would have thought we would spend over 90m on a player. But we continue trying to buy the best and that’s great. Believe me, I do understand your guy’s frustration at our selling policy. I guess I’m better at stomaching it.
